Been testing this lately over Tyranids since I spent alot of time converting the Seer Council and its more fun to write stories about Eldar battles then it is Tyranids.
Made some changes to my old list like the change from 2 Fire Prisms to 2 Falcons suggested by my boyfriend and cutting the seer council down to 7 instead of 10. 7 is a good number because it puts out about 4 wounds in melee on a Carnifex on average which will get you the kill.
Some explainations of the choices.
Farseer Mierin has fortune to fortune the seer council unit and mindwar to kill particular dangerious units like power weapon welders or lower leadership ICs that are a threat.
7 Warlocks because on average they will do 4 wounds to a carnifex on the charge killing it. Cut them down from 10. Enhance to strike first and hit easier, embolden to not run because running is bad and to prevent perils fo the warp and 2 destructors to soften things up before charging into melee. I found 3 destructors would wipe things out sometimes if I rolled really good. I play alot of fantasy so I really like this unit having moded them from fantasy models and they are like that large dragon or block of dragon princes or grail knights.
Fire Dragons are for tank busting couldn't think of a better name for them. The exarch with the flamer is often good because infantry use tanks as a shield and its pretty easy to use the flamer to nail infantry while the rest of the dragons destroy the tank.
Harlequins are the melee unit of choice it seems. I added them when I moved to two Falcons. They provide the second assault squad. I was told to have at least 2-3 assault squads. I used to only have one the council. They perform pretty well so far.
Jetbikes squads for poping out shooting and hiding again. I prefer the 4 with the warlock as they add more versatility and I really like destructor as a fantasy player dragon breath is so fun. It gives some options like charging and assaulting with jetbike guardians. Don't laugh it can be quite effective against a softened unit with the destructor. Sort of ran out of points so the second squad is just 3 jetbikes.
Shining Spears because they are like futuristic calvary the withdraw to get to charge again get the benefit of additional attacks and not get bogged down in assault is really nice.
Falcons - standard falcon. drops off infantry and gets off shots if not shaken was told to cut to shuricanon instead of scatter to save points but I like the range for after I drop cargo.
Fire Prism - standard fire prism. hangs back and shoots vehicles or infantry. sort of miss the second one for the ap3 template against marines.
Will post some reports soon.
thinking of adding an autarach to go with the spears with laser lance and mandiblasters but the list is 1750 exactly right how

You put lots of points into one basket. There are players here at Dakka that favour a jetbike-mounted Seer Council, like Raider.
I'd add the Autarch as he benefits from the SS Exarch power.

I know about the all eggs thing but I like the unit its like in fantasy the really deadly group of knights only they breath fire (destructor) and there is no lore of metal to kill them fast.
I was thinking that to the Autarch would go well with the Shining Spears but what to cut to fit hhe Autarch in.
I would cut the Warlock from the bike squad and like what else?

The list looks good.
Maybe you could improve it by dropping the Prism in favour of Warpspiders with Exarch, Hit n Run and Deep Strike. While the Prism isnt bad at all, you pay 170 points for a model that loses most of its impact once stunned/weapon destroyed/immobilized/destroyed results occur.
Spiders on the other hand go with the Hit n Run theme and provide more reliable shooting (more shots, never stunned, hide in close combat).

Not to keen on Warp Spiders actually. I might try them in a game or two but not to keen on 12 inch range and they not quite as mobile as Jetbikes. Also do not like the whole deal that one of them might die from the jump each time. What unit size do you suggest?
Issues I have with this army are
Sometimes there is not enough terrain to hid everything. This is a problem when I do not go first and they get penetrating shots on my tanks or get to shoot the council before I get to fortune them. I hear this is a big issue with tournaments they are terrain sparse.
Necrons - I really hate them and the resing and the teleporting behind me really messes with the whole poping up and hiding theme of my army. Monoliths are also a pain to bring down.
Tau - my boyfriend beats me almost every time with his hybrid Tau. Its getting a little better now that I have more assault squads but I just get outshot and those rail guns are really mean especially if tau goes first and I can't manage to hide everything.

Good for you for learning to play around the weaknesses of units that you find aesthetically appealing. I personally find jetbike Warlocks lacking in larger units, but it's certainly thematic.
You have a very good ratio of CC to shooting.
I'd agree with Raider that Warp Spiders will do better for you than the Fire Prism, especially against Tau. You can get them into CC fast, lock up shooters, and play hide and seek with other JSJ units more effectively than a Fire Prism. That and the stunning=no shotting issue make a single Fire Prism less of a good deal. Spiders are hard to get used to (the 12" range in particular), but once you master their movement it's really workable. One Eldar player around my town is notorious for using this often-underestimated unit to great effect (well, _two_ of these units, even more surprising to many opponents).
And if you need a Fantasy correlation for Warp Spiders, think of them as the slinger units or light infantry.

Would it do at all to include about 7 Warp Spiders w/ Exarch, hit & run, maybe a spinnerette rifle for AP1 pen hits on vehicles AND running 2 Prisms and 1 Falcon?
The more I read about having 2 Prisms and 1 Falcon as heavies, the more I like it. The possible beatings from the template shot sounds reaaaaaaaally hard to pass up!
I guess it really is a matter of preference, I myself, love the Spiders. They have great background, and got sooooo much better from the last edition. I have an Eldar list I was considering expanding and I may just get me a 2nd Prism and a Falcon. I wasnt looking to roll up with tons of disembarking troops, just some Dragons maybe.
Anyways, the first part is more relevant to the topic at hand......heh.
Thanks!

If you take Fire Prisms, then take 2 of them. In my last game at the GW store on Saturday, my RG opponent payed for bunching up his squads.
The Prims took down an Assault squad on one volley.
A Falcon with Fire Dragons for anti-tank would very well compliment this force.

I really like Jetbike Warlocks and Shinning Spears because they remind me of fantasy knights and I did alot of cool conversion with them.
Thing is I never really did like Infantry in fantasy and played a mostly calvary army for high elves for quite some time.
Will try out some Warp Spiders in a proxy game to see if its worth picking some up.
Not to sure I want to drop the fire prism for them though. Even the single template is good against hordes like orcs and against non marines the template is pretty nasty as well as holofield skimmers being pretty tough to kill.
Might actually try out dropping the Shining Spears to try out Warp Spiders.
I do miss the ap3 template of having a second prism against marines but its still winable without it.
Harlequins are so effective that it does seem worth droping the fire prism for them however it makes the Marines matchup a little harder.
wuestenfux
I really do like the 2 fire prisms and the ap3 template but I'm growing to like harliquins as an additional assault saud makes Tau more managable.
Stelek
I have not seen to many people playing with Seer Councils due to the fact that you have to convert them yourself. I would be interested in seeing your list differences and your thoughts on it as well
I often see a Seer Council size of 6 but I feel 7 is better because that will average 4 wounds on a Carnafiex or 4 marines kill.
Still need to finish writing up those game reports have notes on a few games I need to write up.

I don't think you need to convert much to get a viable seer council.
