Uhh it's slow and it's easily flanked.

Seen my Ork list? Or Krom&Krogs? Both are IMO excellent lists. They work a little bit different but in the end they apply superior mobility + firepower + close combat where they want to.

It's hard to rip this list apart.
Most armies will not have the ammunition to take down all those Orks.
Add power claws to the Boyz mobz. Then its definitely tournament worthy.

the problem with that list is finishing a game under the alloted time which is bad for you because by the end of the game your squads will finally get into CC and should excel. I like the idea of a green tide army, but you are limited by time restrictions in a GT. Plus you have to deal with terrain restrictions too. Hopefully, like most GT's there won't be a whole lot of terrain, but if there is your boyz may be stuck behind each other rolling through difficult terrain and such.

Definitely go for PK for nobs and Boss Poles (if you have the points, may not be as mandatory with 30 boyz mobz). If one of those squads get stuck in with a Dreadnought, they don't have anything to hit him.

The opponent that is going to give you a lot of trouble are ones that have a lot of pie plates. Maybe get Snikrot and his boys to take care of that? Actually they don't do that well vs. vehicles. Maybe a Kans screen ahead of your boyz? with rokkits or mega blastas?

I like the army (with a few minor changes) but I think its going to be a logistic nightmare in a GT.

Horde armies usually lose in GT's.

You lose a couple units of orks and some of your kannons, and one side of the board is clear....and your opponent is sitting pretty and in a mech force can just move away from you.

The only changes I would make would be to remove one unit of shootas those Kannons and one Big Mek and get a Warboss on a Bike and Some Lootas. That should give you the versatility that this list is currently lacking.

I think the idea here is that he has Shootas. A tailored Tau list would have trouble with that. Of course a PK here and there wouldn't hurt but I think he can easily do without. I'd like to know if this is the list that got you to the GT and how were the results if it did? Did you run into any problems witht the list along the way?

PK. An all assault/jump pack BA list could actually out assault you without PK's.

I havent gone to the GT yet, but it is May 24th in Canada

i was thinking of cuttn out one unit of orks adnd beefn powerklaws up.

This list is also gonna be what i run for the GT 09 and 5th will be in place and i dont like running tanks in 5th ed, just dotn like the lack of defence. The other thing i was contemplating is Zagstruck and a deepstrike charge, what do you guys think?

I've never playtested Zaggstruck, but I know a lot of players have been very happy with the performance of their stormboyz without the benefit of the deepstriking ability. IMO, there are too many variables when deepstriking that can cause you to lose a pretty large part of your army. With normal stormboyz, if you don't roll a good d6 prior to assault, don't move the full 12" movement and remain in cover.

I'd be interested to hear though how Zaggstruck has done in gameplay.

Zaggstruck will be better in 5th, when he can 'run' and still assault anyway.

At least until sales of his model are down, then he'll be FAQ''d to death.

Storm Boyz work best currently if you have trukks around to block LOS.

How did you get into the GT though? Hall of Heroes? A Conflict? And how did the list fare there if it was this list you used?

Well after completely dominating the canadian Hall of heroes circuit, i won my frist conflict in toronto getting my ticket to gt. I only played in one other tournament since august and that was Conquest windsor in which CERTIAN PEOPLE got me a little intoxicated and i had to settle for best general both the saturday and sunday. I remember driving around with my predators going "bang bang" in my hall of heroes pictures i am kneeling because i was too drunk to stand

if you have friends on the hall of heroes circuit, they prolly know who BRUNSKILL is

So what you're saying is that you're trying out a whole new list for the GT? Why not use a tried and tested one that seemed to be so great?

The tried, tested list for gt was Iron Warrior spam which no longer exists. I also know a person who is bringng a 2 lord, 2 monolith 40 warror army which will be a mother to take downso i figure this would not be a bad list to do it

Ahhh, gotcha. Yah, if you can get that many Shootas painted up in time I'd say go for it. This Ork list would probably wipe the floor with those Necrons. Just need to kill like 32 Warriors and he phases out?
