Recently I had a game here at game empire pasadena. Here is how it went

Deployment



I got first turn.

I move everyone up as well as the trukk I managed to make one of his guys run but he regroups but is now standing alone.



His first turn

He rolled a hit with his Whirlwind on my trukk. Then he rolled a 6 for the armor pen. ARGH I though he just penned me with a S5 ORD wpn. Then he rolled another 6 annihilating my vehicle and the meganobz inside. ARGH!!!


My turn 2

No reserves come in, and I do not make the needed terrain roll. I needed a 5 to get the blue squad into combat and I rolled 2 '4's.



His turn 2

His termies do not come in but his assault squad does and he kills some of my guys, he rolls 3 '1''s with his scouts to try and get away. My shield boy was saving my but. Why he landed the squad right infront of 50+ orks is beyond me.



My turn 3

The storm boyz come in. I roll 4 "6"s for all my units to WAAAAGGH!!! The stormboyz, or at least Grahzkull makes the whirlwind explode and I lose 11 of 15 models in the process. ARGH. The assault squad and chaplain get annihilated. I consolidate into a devastator squad after rolling another 6 for sweeping advance. Sadly my blue squad rolls a 2 for thier sweeping advance and does not make it into combat with the scouts.



His turn 3

He does a little shooting but there is not much he can do at this point. I finish off his devastator squad and advance 4'" towards whirlwind #2.



My turn 4
My kommandoz come in. Shoot the lone marine and do nothing but they kill him in assault. I charge his other whirlwind with my brown squad after stunning it with some rokkits. THe blue squad kills off the scouts.



His turn 4
His termies come in and kill my big mek. ARGH!



My turn 5
WIth no waagh left, and no shield i most now do it old school and trot accross to him.



His turn 5
He widdles my blue squad down to 4. So I have a 4 leadership and I roll a 3 and a 1 and make it WOOT!!



My turn 6
All 3 squads two of which have a fist one of which has an Init 4 fist finish off his termies and its the end of the game.



GOOD Game.

I could not believe how few models he had. Also there were some wierd rolls.

Odds of him annihilating my trukk with the WW: .93%
Odds of me rolling 4 6's to waagh: .0776%
Odds of him rolling 3 1's for terrain: .46%

Either way it was a great game and I had a lot of fun.

I know this is 40k, but I can't help but ask when your undefeated skaven are going to take the field? It's April man, time to do battle!

Love the diagrams, and no, Marines don't get much 1250 pts compared to Orks. I played my Deathwing recently and only had 18 models.

UNdefeated skaven. LOL, well I recently found out that there are a group of fantasy players at my local store. SO I might start getting into it. I am gonna be mostly a 40K player this season as I am in the tourney circuit.

During his turn 5, your Orks should have taken a Leadership penalty, because they were under half strength.

HEY. Alex, whats up man, good report. I played you a couple weeks ago at the mini RTT. I was the guy with the almost identical Ork army in the third round. Anyway, good report. Your stormboy squad always seems to jump in aT the right moment. It seems that that squad, in combination with your kommandos, is a good balance to your slogging core of boyz.

You seem to like the word "annihilate" as much as Horatio Nelson did.

Also, I can't get enough of the representational diagram batreps. Great stuff!

How did your squad of 4 orks not have the Ld of the Nob to roll against? You should have failed if they had Ld 4 and rolled 4 due to the penalty, but doesn't the Nob have Ld 6 or 7? So you would have been fine anyway.

Great report though; it is unusual to have a report detailed enough that questions about a morale check are reasonable to make, but also concise enough to be fun to read. Exalt!

Hmm, yeah I made a mistake they should have been ld 3. Still getting used to the new codex. I dont think they would use the nob's LD. I thought that they always chose to substitute thier number for leadership as the mob rule says.

@strafed, hey good to hear from you again man. Yeah your orks were a lot llike mine. Yours were painted better though.

They MAY choose to use the mob size for ld tests dose not say they must....keep that in mind also a boss pole is very usefull.
