Simple question, would you think psycannons allow screening saves under the new 5th edition pdf? I don't have it so I don't know what the wording is on that.

There is no screening save in 5th edition. Firing over intervening models provides a cover save just like any other cover save.
So this is just the same question that has always been asked about Psycannons:
Do you think they ignore cover saves or not? No reason to go over the same ground again, just check out this poll or do a search for any number of other threads discussing the topic.

okay, great. I do think psycannons ignore cover - not having the pdf I didn't know what the exact rule was. Thanks yak.

But, interestingly, the WH bolter upgrade (I forget the name) denies cover saves, rather than invulnerable saves.
With the number of available cover saves, it may be that we'll see a lot more immolators with the TL HB and bolter upgrade.

The upgrade is called Blessed Ammunition.

Nah, they will still suck. There just are not enough things that have 4+ saves to make it worth taking them. Now, if you could upgrade an entire squad of girls with that, or even just Retributors, that would be pretty hot, but unless they make Immolators cheaper by 30-50% they will not be worth the points considering how difficult they are to take.
