OK, pc skills are POOR, hope this gets some of the idea across.

Thinking about the deign for my demolisher for my Adeptus Mech army. Thinking this is more of a working machine rather than a battle tank, hence the dozer. (Think fire-fly from Thunderbirds) The top and probably space between the tracks/above them (gona have it a bit wider than usua) will be taken up with back packs, excavation euipment etc, and possibly a servitor recharge station or something. Still debating sponson (see tactics forum) but if I add them then I will likly go for a 'bolted on' look rather than a built in sponson, a bit like the pintly mounts, and again these could be between or above the tracks, probably above so it looks like they can be operated....

Ideas and comments welcome. Haven't bought many of the parts as yet, just have the basic Russ hull. Feel free to ask questions if the diagram doesn't get my idea across.....

Sounds like a great idea. Do go for "bolted on" look. And, tactics aside, go for something that looks like it would be for excavation use. Maybe plasma to melt/blast aapart rock.

not a bad idea..... my armys more for looks and fun than competitivness anyway, you may have hit the nail on the metaphorcal head there and answered my other thread!

Otehr question, if i make the servitor station what do you guys think it should look like? I was thinking an alcove type thing, like the gothic _____ thing on the back of the baneblade, just don't want it to end up looking like something from startrek with the whole borg recharge things. Of course, they're really necrons anyway, just any tips to avoid the similarity?

OK, not wuite as cool as I'd hoped and not working tank enough for my liking at the moment. Also not happy with the Plasma Cannons, will replace them with the ones in the devastator set when I get around to buying it, and may replace the lasconnon with the one from the set too. What do people think?

Wow - it certainly feels Ad Mech-y to me! It feels kind of awkward, but truth in told, I think that makes it feel really right for an Ad Mech army. While there's part of me that thinks it looks kinda weird, I have to say I like it!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

from the front the dozer actually clears them....I was surprised too! The dirty thing...err...yeh. Idea for the army is that it represents an expeditionary force with a small armed contingent with it. At the moment most of the work has been on the armed forces bit, the demolisher is the first of the 'civilian' sections. Saw it as being more of a heavy plant machine than a tank...think firefly from thunderbirds. Cannon and the plasma are more for blasting apart cliff faces etc than the enemy as such...hence it's a bit grubby. Doesn't fit fluff wise too well, but I wanted to try something a bit different and couldn't resist dirtying up the model after reading the forge world master class!
