About me: Dutch librarian who moved to the UK in 2003. The things we do for love..... However, three months later that ended, and I still decided to stay in the UK. Haven't as yet regretted it.

Currently working for the Oxford University College on a year contract, filling in for the librarian whilst she is on a sabbatical. We'll see how things go after that.

Discovered the whole new range of board games in early 2006. Went out to search for a bit, and found too much to comprehend! Started a board games group in June 2006, which I handed over in November 2007 as I was preparing to move from London to Oxford. Early November 2006 I also finally succumbed to the seduction of miniatures gaming, and that is now growing explosively.

Sofar, my collecting of games and miniatures still outdoes my playing of them. I'm also still very much learning about painting, mostly due to lack of time to actually paint. Bit by bit I'm picking up on things though, so I think I may be slightly less crap at painting then I perceive myself to be. P

Welcome Radishjack. Love the avatar- nothing like a little Brian Bolland Joker art to spruce up the place.

I read in your profile that you're an aspiring artist? What manner of art do you aspire to create?

Cheers and welcome,

Gotta love the Killing Joke. And it quite suits me, actually.

Painting, drawing. On paper, canvas, wooden panels, jeans, whatever springs to mind. This is mostly just plans as I really need to get my tush in gear and start working on my technique. From the bits of scribbling I have done here and there I'd say I do have some natural talent. I now need to get to the point where I can transfer what the (minds) eye sees to the medium. Made a good start a while ago, and then stopped again. So many plans, so little energy......

Welcome to Dakka Sir.

Frazzled[Mod] On Rule #1- No it literally means: be polite. If we wanted less work there would be no OT section.
Chowderhead - God no. If I said Pirates Honor, I would have had to kill him whether he won or lost.

Ain't that the truth, and one of the best drawn comics of any sort, ever.

@radishack - I know the feeling - too many ideas, not enough time. And what do I do with free time when I have it? Come to Dakka, of course! Ah....gotta love forums for distracting one from projects.

Welcome and we'll see you on the boards!
