Hi,

The following list is to take a break from my slower and hard hitting lists. I wanted a fast list (a break from chaos and dwarves) that does not use monsters (ogres). I decided I wanted a list with lots of units, so I thought how about a speed-gobbo list. This is my take on a list like this. The slowest thing in here are the pump-wagons, because they roll 2d6. besides that all of it can squable, but I think it should be ok...

The plan was to have a unit of wolfriders with the bosses and the shamans with the other 2. the spiders move up through a forest flank. the chariots and pump-wagons are there for flanking and combined charges.

Tell me what you think please. This is the first try at a descent speed list and I do not want to use orkses (I have enough orks in 40K) I also do not want a uber list (is that possible with this setup ?!?!) but something interesting to play (Which I think it is because of the many fragile units...)

Speed gobbos = cool

Otherwise ... one of my favorite characer builds in the O&G book is a goblin boss w/ one hit wonda, brimstone baubles, wolf. 18" cruise missile flies in there, smashes somebody up and then explodes on the retaliation. A beautiful thing

It looks like you're actually trying for magic with your casters, but otherwise I'd suggest a similar build to that guy who won some huge tournament last year with pure gobbos. Level 1 gob shaman, brimstone baubles, dispel scroll, chariot. Burn his scroll and then go for suicide when the opportunity presents itself - impacts, the shaman is targeted out and nukes when he dies. So good!

it might be worth it to have a block of goblins although i know it kinda goes against your theme. currently you have no units that can assault buildings or really put the hurt on big things, and a few robed gobbo's hopped up on 'shrooms could help in that department.

Also are you going no night gobbos in general? Even just 1 unit of spider riders can work well with your wolf riders, skittering into terrain that the dogs can't navigate as well.

Actually I want to make the wolfriders nightgobbo's. They are just cool (and quite easy to paint imho...), but I do not want the big blocks. This army is going for something completely different from my current builds. The larger units of wolfriders are actually halfway descent on a charge (s4 for spears) and with the characters it will hopefully suffice. Other big things like knights etc are a major concern, but I will have to try and make a double assault on them. I have greater speed and more units then most knight heavy armies... (block in front and small unit in side. The a pumpwagon for good measure..)

btw I have a unit of spiders in both list (actualy 2 in the 1000 pts list.) I felt that would be enough, because terrain is scarce in most games of WHFB...

Buildings I am not worried about btw, because I have no intention of going to tourneys and I do not play in a group with a lot of buildings to hide in (despite the cool kit to make them...)

I will have to give the cruisemissile a try, sounds very cool

Stupidly I missed the spider riders at the top of your core. 2 units is definitely solid.

Yeah I also really like this army. It looks like it would be very interesting to play with and against. You do have obvious short comings, but the speed and manuverability also causes a lot of issues for other armies, so in the end it will probably balance out if you are a good tactician.

Best of luck let us know how it plays.

Note: D+ can take over 12 hours of driving in Canada. It's no small task here.

GENERATION 5: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

So far it is only a want to build. I will probably start it in a while with a few chariots and or a unit of wolves. This will be my funproject, as I have orks and nids that need painting (as do 5 or 6 other armies, but don't get me started on those )

If I manage to get a trialgame in I will report back with a battlereport...
