hi everybody this is my revised conflict list but i wanted to run it by you as i get great results from running by the dakka crew

HQ
belial (stormbolter and sword variant)
=130pts

librarian
terminator armour
=145pts

TROOPS

5 deathwing terminators
heavy flamer
=220pts


5 deathwing terminators
assault cannon
=245pts


5 deathwing terminators
cyclone missle launcher
=230pts

its 25pts under but its alright the plan is that the heavy flamer squad with belial which deathwing assaults as well as the librarian on its own and attack the enemy
while the cyclone missle launcher that is in a building who acts as a firebase while the assault cannon squad reignforces what ever needs reignforcing by deep
striking normally.

how do you think this could work in the tornament please all two cents is welcome.

in my opinion you would be better off dropping the librarian, and getting 2 whirlwinds, to force oppents squads to take pin tests, the whirls also make Very good Ord support for deathwing assult.

also you can pick the ignore cover save varient to Really make coversave dependent players dislike you. IE players using unit screens and moving thme back and forth to screen heavy weapons,etc..

The cyclone squad is 235. I'd go with a bike squad or some tanks instead of the Librarian.

Belial allows you to take terminators as troops.

Regarding the list, I would change a few things. Normally I would suggest upgrading a terminator to an Apothecary, but I don't know where you could get the points for it. You said you have 25 points left, so at minimum I would add a chainfist to each squad.

I would run your army a little different than what you said. I would deploy Belial and the Terminator squads with AC and CML as your firebase. Deep Striking the one squad just seems unnecessary if you already have the heavy flamer squad Deep Striking.

I would join the Librarian to the squad with the Heavy Flamer and Deathwing Assault with them. Just make sure that you Deep Strike them somewhere where the other terminator squads can still give them supporting fire.

well i was thinking of dropping the librarian for a dreadnought with a twin-linked lascannon+missle launcher with extra armour and that would give me enough anti tank rather than just a missle launcher as the librarian is'nt going to be that effective and i was low on anti tank

what do you think of this variant? is it better or worse

Why extra armor? Need to make sure the Dread keeps moving when it cant shoot?

well i was planning of putting it in some sort of cover and taking out tanks that way or if they hav'nt taken any vehicles elite units

I think you're better off ditching the Librarian. His one offensive power is only useful at Heavy Flamer range, so if you want to DWA, I'd do the following:

Belial - LCP
Interrogator Chaplain - Terminator Armor, Combi-Melta
Terminators - AC+CF, LCP (2), Apothecary
Terminators - AC+CF, LCP (2)
Terminators - AC+CF

DWA the two squads with Lightning Claw models, where Belial and the Interrogator Chaplain are attached to each one. Have the third squad DS farther away and act as fire support to the two Assault units. 12 Terminator-Armored models in your opponent's face will make him squirm.

I've fielded this list before, and have found it to be absolutely nasty. Good luck with this.

Your army will be short range fire power but it will pack a punch. I would take the Sword of Secrets and Storm Bolter for Belial seeing as he will probably get 2 rounds of shooting in before he has to fight in CC. If you don't like the Vindicator you could take two Speeders with Multi Meltas.

should i take a whirlwind with castellian rockets as it ignores cover so i can blow apart units in cover and if they come out in the open i can storm bolter the bejebus out of them its long range and cheaper than a vindicator
