First game is at 10:30, so show up at 10am and get your lists in.
Please use Army Builder rosters! If I can’t read your list, bad things happen to your General.
If you bring an illegal list and get caught by your opponent using it, you’ll get a serious penalty—the later in the tournament, the more serious it is. I do make mistakes, I’m allowed to—you aren’t!
You can use any standard Army Book.
NO expansion army lists. Nothing that requires opponent’s permission. No back-of-the-codex lists. In short, only items published as ‘legal’ like the Lizardmen ‘armies of the gods’ armies on
GW’s website. If you have a question, EMAIL me.

You must use the White Dwarf Chaos Warrior list if you bring that army, and you better bring the rules!
Bring an extra 250 points, you MAY divide this between 1 unit and 1 hero level character but do not have to. These will not take up ANY of your normal choices NOR meet any requirements. In short, you must bring a 2000 point army, then another 250 points of that same army—whether it is divided or not between your 2 choices is entirely up to you. You can NOT bring 2 for 1 slot choices (like Goblin Bolt Throwers) and call it a single ‘unit’. If this is still too confusing, email me. If you send me your army list before October 31st, you can have an extra 50 points towards this total. It will be important, believe me.
Terrain: Going to be approximately 2 hills, 2 forests, and 1 objective terrain piece on 6x4 boards. You are hereby warned.
Remember how the awards work at Mind Games: All cash paid in is paid out. I throw in a bit extra out of my pocket.
For this tournament, the awards will be:
Best Overall (must be completely painted AND based), Best General (most
VP’s), Best Sportsman, Best Painted.
30/25/15/30 are the percentages of prizes given out for the awards, in order.
Yes, Best Painted means something in Fantasy!
Best sportsman is determined by a combination of 'army flavor' and 'sportsmanship'. Ties will be broken by fewest
VPs. Then by me.
Best Army is determined by a combination of 'army flavor' and 'best painted'. In other words, have a strong themed army that you painted, and you have a good chance to win. Tiebreakers will be judged by me.
Scenarios will all be standard deployment rules. There will be one objective terrain piece on the board, in the center of the table. Every game, this will be worth victory points. You won’t know how much until the games actually begin.
Finally each scenario will have the following rules:
First Scenario, kill the enemy General.
If you kill the enemy General, you get +200
VP's.
By 'kill' I mean dead by any means, not fleeing. Regenerated Generals are not dead, so don't bloody try that tact either.
If you kill the enemy General with your General, you get +400
VPs.
By 'kill' I mean you take his final wound with an attack from your General.
Second Scenario, destroy 2 core.
These units must be destroyed (not running away).
+200
VP's for killing 2 core, +400
VP's if you get all of his core.
Third Scenario, destroy 2 non-core (not including characters or warmachines).
+200
VP's for killing 2 non-core, +400
VP's if you get all of his non-core.
If you do not have qualifying non-core in your army, your opponent automatically gets +400
VP's.
Remember this when building your armies.
I will also be throwing a monkey wrench into the mix, and no you won’t know what it is until game day. Don’t worry, it’s going to be fun.
