since that tyranids can asimilate other races DNA and use it in new broods for better warriors, i wish to propose that you may have one brood 0-1 that has one races DNA and gains something for it, at the appropret points cost of course, it just seems unfair that they have this ability and lack dynamids in there codex, so what do you think, eg: a brood of eldar DNA gives tem 2+ Initiative, a brood with ork DNA gets +1 attack and so on.

What do you think?

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

It would have to be done very carefully. I always like the idea of adding dynamics in a codex, but this would take some very careful consideration.

most nids can do this already. they can already get +1A, +1I or +1 to most stuff. why add a rule thats the same as one already in place?

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

I just think there needs to be abit more connection between fluff and rules and since these guys lack units why not have something like this? it's like CSM and marks and all that stuff ontop of the already glands and stuff

The DNA of these races is allready included in nid units. They made the zoanthrope out of eldar, and tyrant guard and biovores out of orks...

just my two cents, nids allready have more then enough in my opinion.

try but their list is still small, where is the Tau DNA, or dark eldar variation, kroot, oblidorators and so on.

And for ork DNA, it seems really slow and weak and also most useless and un orky

i would say that the tyrant guard were made from marine DNA. Biovores are supposed to be from orks but I agree with Squig_herder, very unorky. Something tough with furious chaage but also slow (maybe slow and purposeful) would do better. Something like a mini-fex but with better WS (ie more troop orientated combat)

They allready have troops like that, only faster, they be called genestealers. Fluffwise, there has not been a lot of contact with the Tau, obliterators are daemonic, so thats also something else, and dark eldar... Not sure they would engage the nids in a fight that they could not win, and are they geneticly identical to normal eldar?

Many of the special tyranid units are already, fluff-wise, based off other race's DNA. In addition to this if you want to make them even more similar tyranids can be given different stat bonuses to make them more how you want them to be.
