There is a checklist. It's somewhere and quite reasonable. It's actually very clear and concise on what constitutes extra points. I don't know where it went but it actually takes the subjectiveness out of it which I like since i'm a very ABC painter(the part of the hobby i like least). I'm sure you'll be able to see it when you get there. Or email the guys in charge and get them to send it to you. Have fun, hopefully i'll be there next year

Don't knock it, it's just not your part of the hobby. Mine is modeling and playing with little toy soldiers. I only paint because it's required for tournies In fact i'll probably pay someone to paint my next highly converted army so they can do it justice

yup, Dave PMed me back. it is in the players packet, not the packet that is distributed the day you get there....

Flames of war has a check list style judging for it big events, that is the best thing I have seen in over a decade! You opinion is out the window, as is your way to screw the guy you just handed you your head. Are they painted, are they based, do they look like a unit? etc. Any one looking at the army and at your score of its painting according to the check list can see if your doing it fairly. One can only hope it something similar.
