Is there any confirmation that a MOTF mini will be in the second wave of SM releases? I asked in my local GW this lunchtime to be told (1) the second wave has already been released (2) there will be no MOTF mini and (3) he's already been released as a bundle with the Thunderfire Cannon.

All of these answers came from the same guy over the course of a minute's discussion, so I'm not taking them as gospel. Anybody more knowledgeable care to speak?

Oh, and I'm assuming that even if a mini is released, there probably won't be a bike-mounted variant available.

Expect the second wave of marines to be released a year from the release date of the latest marine codex. Orks got the same treatment.

Thanks BrookM. Looks like I'll be converting a biker-MOTF then! Tech-marine with servo-harness and a Ravenwing biker might be a good place to start. Hmm ...

Hmmm, I'm thinking the guy you talked to needs to quit sniffing glue.

-First wave of marines hit last month. Second wave is a ways off.
-No one knows what's in the second wave yet. Might be yes, might be no, on MOF.
-The figure in the TFC is the Techmarine Gunner. Just a guess, but MOF will most likely have a conversion beamer, otherwise, what's the point?

when i talked with phil kelly at games day, he said that the second wave would have the characters in the codex that don't have minis yet...
he didn't give a timetable though...
there was no mention of a master of the forge mini...
aside from the lack of a conversion beamer, the regular tech-marine with servo-harness works fine...

yes, vulkan was mentioned, as that was the guy that i was all excited about...
phil told me that ALL of the characters in the codex without minis would be gettin' some love...
so vulkan should be comin' with the second wave...

Then again- i am planning on making a bike mounted one out of a thunderfire- hack at waist- stick guy on tracks and mount the (slightly modified) gun on the arms

Be nice to know what the conversion beamer will look like... I'm hoping similar to the old Rogue Trader one so I can just converte a tech marine...
