Being forced to use the new dex because im a dark angel player , I was thinking of what special characters can be re named from the dark angels codex to keep some DA fluff alive, their equvilents. ill make a list of what characters translate well.

Tellion-Namman (that works out quite well)

Who else translates well? I think many of these work out very good with the new dex and I plan on using those characters with different names quite often.

Im not sure what the ? people equate to, and yes im doing all this via the count as rule, but for people like vulkan, who would i say he is in a DA army? Just to be fluffy.

Why don't you just use a Chapter Master with a Relic Blade as Azrael. He won't have the lion helm but otherwise he's better than Azrael.

I'd use Tiggy as Ezekiel, but otherwise I'd just use the generic guys and give them DA-esque weapons.

i agree, i LOVE the counts as thing they are doing now. before you had to play with people that were cool enough not to care, where as now it doesnt matter because its wrote in there we can do it!

I doubt you're going to find anyone similar to Marneus Calgar. He's pretty unique, what with those two power fists...

Well, the dark angels may have to "borrow" Calgar during a hunt for the fallen. He is pretty kick ass. Id also love to use Ekizel for Tiggy as Tiggy has great rules.
