I've had this one nearly finished for a week or so now. Thanksgiving made me forget to post any pics. It's painted up for my Word Bearer's and like the LR I inherited, I had to tear the model down to basic parts and work it from the ground up. Fortunately it had been glued together originally using CA. The worst thing was trying to mod the twin-linked Las for the main turret. I'm using magnets to hold in the actual barrels, so I can switch to the Auto-cannon if I need. I'd had the sponson mounted Las pieces and wanted to use them in the sponsons at first. After some thinking on the issue, I realized the best thing was to use them for the main turret instead and just to use the HB sponsons. Points wise it comes out nice and it allows me to keep some maneuverability. That's the one reason I hate using my LR. It's expensive for a gun platform and if I move it I lose most of the nice weapons I spent points to have. Anyway, enjoy the pics.

London.

Well executed and neatly painted, but I would say that it does look very ''clean'' for a Chaos predator. It's a matter of taste, but I'd weather that bad boy.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

nice clean paint job, one piece of advice though, i would say a few highlights would go for mile son this golden oldie.

I tend to gravitate toward sharp clean lines when I paint so I'm glad it comes across that way. I was a little scared to paint this as I had to use a brush due to my Airbrush suffering damage on a drop. I was quite surprised at how well the Citadel paints level out with little to no brush strokes showing. I certainly appreciate someone that can weather a model well, sadly it's not in my skill set atm.

I've stayed away from highlights, no particular reason. On Vehicles, they really do make it 'pop' when executed correctly. I'll have to do some practice using the technique so I may just add those highlights soon.

Thanks for the input and compliments btw.

I LOVE the old-school Predators for Chaos. I think they suit it very well. Good job. Hit that thing with some Badab Black wash and you'll be set.

Actually, I've always used Scab red for my Word Bearer's. I never liked the look of how the red came out when using the prescribed GW method for painting the legion, it was always too bright. I'm not sure if the Mechrite Red is the same hue.
