So I decided to start a serious army blog detailing the painting of my Orc and Goblin WHFB Batallion box so far my to do list is:
15 Night Goblins
20 Orc Boyz
1 Orc Shaman (Made of spare bitz, currently PIP)
10 Forest Goblin Spider Riders
1 Orc Boar Chariot

My done list is:
5 Night Goblins...

Man have I got a way to go! I'll kick it off by posting bad webcam pics of the only done models yet, the first rank of NG, and even they still need touch-ups

Those are looking good. The white really gives them some contrast.

Keep pluggin away at it. Once ya get the method down those NG's will roll along fast.

Well, the quality of the picture kind of keeps me from seeing anything important. The banner looks fairly well done, and from what I can tell, the gobz are at least shaded.

thanks! It's good to know people can still express their opinions even with such crap pics! I did a little more work and cranked out my Orc Shaman, made from spare bitz from the boyz kit and with a funky back thing from the spider riders

@Sphynx: the pics are taken by webcam, as I mentioned earlier, I have to use webcam because my digital camera lacks a USB cord

I like the spider rider accessory on the shaman.

Ahem Gonads, I think you will find white triangles are common in NG schemes! Check the army book if you don't believe me!

Updates! I have successfully completed the Boar chariot, the pics are still webcam but a little better (IMO) because of some added lighting (in the form of a handheld torch I held above the model)

No update, but I have news, I am going away on holiday to Scotland over the new year, I will leave tomorrow and not get back until the 2nd or 3rd of January, so will be unable to add anything until then, see you in the New Year!!!

I am officially back! hAPPY nEW yEAR! I may now be able to post better pictures of the army, as I have found a USB cord that may work with my digi cam, if it doesn't, I will have to use my dad's cameraphone, (Yep, it's true Cameraphone pics are better than my crappy webcam )

I have completed the first Orc of many, here the blighter is, the pics are better because the room is more well-lit, I have scrapped the wierd field-background-thing the older photos had

I like how these models loo, but I really wish I could look closer. You should really think about investing in a digital camera, or at least borrowing one, like Rahveel said.

Righty-ho! I still don't have the ability to use my own camera, but my sister's was on hand so I took some better pics! Also, next Monday the White Boyz (yup I'm keeping the name ) will face a combined arms force of Dwarfs and High Elves, played by my good friends Callum (posts on this forum as Spaceduck) and Sam (Brother of Dakkaite Model Collector) at 600pts, the army will include the batallion this blog covers (even the unpainted stuff) and a few other units form my personal collection

Good stuff.... especially the glowing eyes on the shaman.. might have to steal that in the future...

looking forward to seeing these guys in the flesh so to speak, should be a good game on monday...

now just get those bases done!

You know, sir that I never base! Turns out that actually, the game will be played using my daemons army instead, I have finished the Musician of the Orc unit (I am painting the front rank one by one , then batch painting the rest) but the pictures don't want to leave the camera! I will get them up ASAP, probably tomorrow

nice! I think this trend of naming ork forces after their clan colour might be more popular than you thought. My brother wanted to call our ork army 'da shiny brown orks'

(to cut a long story short he tried to mix brass coloured paint & ended up with what could only be described as 'shiny brown')

OK, future progress is gonna be slow, as I have moved all my GW stuff into my bedroom and it still needs sorting, also I can't upload the Orc musician because my sis swiped the camera before I could upload, soz

This guy did not come with my batallion box, but I love my Black Orc BSB so much i had to post him!

The story behind this guy (IRL, not fluff) is that, when GW released the Blorc boxed set, My local GW decided that anyone could come in and assemble/paint one for free, so I got a Black Orc. Then, much later, I picked up a box of 10 Black Orcs, when I assembled them, I knew I would have an awkward extra one, so I stuck a shield on his face as a kind of mask, gave him a somewhat OTT banner, and he became
Zuk Maskboy, Flag Wava of Da White Boyz!
N.B. I am so lazy I have only 1/2 undercoated him, lol EDIT: woops forgot the pictures

Oh and on a side note, I've named the drumma Keef Moon

Damn you. Now I'm tempted to start up some Orcs & Goblins
