Just getting into WHFB thanks to Christmas and the fact that most of the 40K players around here are screaming 12-year-olds. I am NOT familiar with the core rules, having only skimmed the cut-down rulebook at the FLGS. I'm going for an all-rounder army, preferably Undivided, Khorne and Tzeentch. I don't like Nurgle because the models are a pain to paint correctly and I have bad memories of Fzorgle, so no Slaanesh either.

Basically, the Khorne hero goes with the Khorne knights, the unmarked hero with the unmarked knights, hounds are cannon fodder/backup for the Warriors, and the Chariot is there because it's just cool to have.

save points on the puppies - drop the scaly skin, their a meat shield for the knights and warriors, they're supposed to die. Warrior units look a little small, 15 is better number, you have no magic defense which will prove disastrous going against even a mediocre magic phase. Give the knights with the blasted standard the mark of tzeentch - one save pays for the mark twice, 2 saves the mark and the banner, well worth it considering the amount of firepower that knights draw. Blood curdling roar on the khorne champ is fun
