What models have similar names across army books and codex?

I'm thinking Warriors/Swordsmen/etc.

Thanks!

Well, there's necron warriors, tyranid warriors and dark eldar warriors.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Warstore has a search function. That does not include GW but the GW site has the same.

Do the Codex entries call them such, or do they just say "Warriors"?

Necron Warriors are just listed as "Warriors". Tyranid Warriors are listed as "Tyranid Warriors". Not sure about Dark Eldar right now (I only know the first two from having looked it up because of gallery tags).

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Blood Angels, Dark Angels and Space Marines all have Tactical Squads, and there a few other similarities IIRC.

Okay, so we'll have to name those individually.

Blood Angel Tactical Squad

Makes sense.

Someone sent me a PM so I want to know about 40k and Fantasy:

What Chaos entries are the same across the freakin' Chaos books. They make my
head hurt.

Hilarious.

We're avoiding abbreviations for clarity in the article names. That's why you see
Warhammer 40,000 instead of Warhammer 40k. That's also why you see me
create articles called The Protectorate of Menoth instead of PoM or Protectorate or
Menoth.

So if there's a conflict, race names will be typed in full. I feel secure in calling
[[Wraithguard]] and [[Winterguard]] , but warriors definitely need to have
[[Kriel Warriors]].

Also, WHFB and WH40k take precedence, so I'm giving them normal names. So
you'll see me append UNIT to Winterguard.

[[Winterguard Unit]]
[[Kovnik Officer Solo]].

Somewhere in south-central England.

It isn't that much of a surprise that wargame armies have units called warriors and guards, TBH.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

So maybe some good ones would be:

Names that probably need an additional adjective

Archers
Crossbowmen
Guard
Spearmen
Swordsmen
Warrior

Things with weapons.

Fantasy vs. 40k Daemons

Special characters? Etc?

Let me start with some easy questions:

Are Chosen called Chosen in both systems?

Bloodletters?

The Daemonlords?

Are all Daemon Princes the same?

Hrm, so Chaos Daemons is the official name and it looks like they avoid doubling
up, too. I'll have to look at the GW site more often (gasp, horror!)

Thanks.
