Not a great movie overall, but awesome suits of armor.
The model consists of a Cadian torso, vehicle sprue legs, grenade launcher arms, a Pig Iron Kolony militia head, press molded armor plates from the Kasrkin sergeant, molded ammo belt segments from an ork shoota, a cut-down Cadian Shock Trooper backpack and an MG-42 from The Assault Group. The gas mask hose is guitar wire.
The only difference is that the head is hollowed-out metal, so the leads had to be coated in gray stuff to insulate them. Instead of using a switch, I put a 2mm pin header in the torso with the terminal posts sticking out the back and a 2mm hard drive jumper in the backpack. So when you put the backpack on, the eyes light up. The battery, which is a coin battery with solder tabs, was from allelectronics.com. The 0805 led came from West Florida Components, which sells them on reels at fairly affordable prices.
C&C are welcome since I plan to do a whole army of these guys. The armor plates are different colors because I ran out of green stuff and switched to gray stuff halfway through. There are also some gray stuff patches on the model because there was some ... unpleasantness ... with the dremel tool.
I am aware that the ammo belt is a horrible failure, so I'm going to try again with the bullets from the Cadian Heavy Weapons team sprue.

Yes, I learned a lot about the logical order to build these things in from the test model. It shouldn't be much of a problem to cover the eyes with putty while I spray though.

Interesting. I didn't know they had types with solder tabs.
The thing that worries me about that, though, is what to do when one of the batteries finally gives out. I usually like a degree of replaceability, at least for the battery, as the LEDs tend to vastly outlive their power supplies. How are you going to deal with this?
Also, would you mind sharing which one in particular fits under a 25mm base that comfortably? I might like to pick up a couple, but it seems they've got a few types of 3v coin cells with the tabs.

jamsessionein: They are CAT# LBAT-51 They barely fit under the base and I had to clip the solder tabs a little. If anyone knows where to get a smaller battery, I'd love to hear it. I guess I just have to re-solder the battery when it gives out. When the LED gives out I'm boned.
combat engineer and wash-away, the movie is called Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade. It's got cool armor and some good battle scenes, but the "romantic" subplot made me throw up in my mouth a bit because the girl appeared to be about 12 years old.
