I Just started working on my 2009 tournament army. Its a a Black templar list that has 1 LRC and 1 Normal land raider. Now i just ordered the Space Marine strike force, so that left me still needing a Land Raider Crusader. I had an old half finished chaos land raider lying around aswell and having abandoned that particular chaos army, I stripped all the chaos symbols and the weaponry off it and decide to convert that into my land raider crusader. This is still a wip because i am waiting on a pretty sizable bits order and the paint on it is a dust eaten half worked on basecoat thats peeling in places and so thats definitely still getting stripped. For now though it does help seeing the model in black. Anyway on to pictures.

The turret is going to be outfitted with the new Redeemer Flamestorm cannon with a few mods to count the LRC's multi melta. I got ahold of some metal Frag launchers aswell and i'm just wondering if i shouldn't mount those on the dozer blade instead of on the front tracks. I bits ordered some hurricane bolter sponsons so those still have to be added aswell. I also still need to recieve my 3 black templar upgrade sets so its going to get black templar doors as well and the front door will still be used as well. Of course theres also going to be Alot more decorations on both the hull and the dozer blade and i also need to add some smoke launchers. I'm also working on a scratch built searchlight (Which will be lit up.) If you guys have any other ideas I'm all ears though.

I know the dozer blade on a LR has always been a bone of contention. However looking at what you have there I see a possible way that it would work and allow the front doors to be used. I think the blade would nose down into the earth allowing the LR to roll over top of it in order to deploy troops. I know it's all fluff at this point but it really is the only way I see a dozer blade working on these things.

Would it be too much work to remove the divit in the dozer blade? The portion where the demolisher cannon would have been. Or do you like it w/ that divit? If it wasn't off center, I'd like it myself...but being off centered it'd annoy me.

Atually the way this one works is that the dozer blade slides UP. The actual door is removed and i made a short ramp under the dozer blade. Its glued in to place on this one since unfortunatly the inside of this landraider was never painted. But the concept is that the doze blade slides up over the tracks and the guys walk out from under there. That why i left the divide. On my second land raider i will make the doze blade actually movable and When its upright, the divide allows me about half an inch of extra space since it falls EXACTLY around the Assault cannons. Or the heavy bolters on the normal landraider. it is actually an open ramp under the dozer blade made from half a rhino top door. When its in the upright position, in the mockup it allowed me to comfortably fit a normal marine under there so i should see no problems with it.

In the second version the Sligtly angled flaps will be hinged so that in the heaved up position they can slide all the way up over the headlights. For this one i will be adding the top part of the Ork trukks boarding planks just like you see on the clear part on this one, so they LOOK asif they can hinge aswell. This is really just my test model. I expect the second landraider to be fully functional and this onre to just be sturdy.
