Right.. ive been thinking about the herald section & how you could have up to 4 heralds with your two HQ slots.

These could be paired with a strong elite unit.. I looked at the beasts of nurgle but with only one upgrade, only two could be disimiliar & they are slow & purposeful .FNP was a fair trade for ironhide but slow is slow & thats bad.

So bloodcrushers, up to four could be used & have different loadouts (3 gifts + 1 nacked crusher).. all that comes to 200pts (4 models?!)

As for the heralds.. I was thinking khorne heralds w/ juggernought mounts (three of) & skulltaker w/ a juggernought as his Skulls for the skullthrone rule is just too awesomely deathly to ignore.

Without meaning to garble on, it would look like

HQ:

Skulltaker
+Juggernought = = 175

Herald of Khorne
+Juggernought
+Unholy might
+deathstrike = 120


Herald of Khorne
+Juggernought
+Unholy might
+blessing of the blood god = 110

Elites:

1 x 4 bloodcrushers
+Choas icon (this is why it isnt on any of the heralds)

HQ total = 520. Grand total = 720pts

I could spend more on the heralds but this is an economically effective way of doing things methinks.

I have realised halfway through that they are all IC thus fight seperate battles in CC so why not forget the crushers & give them chariots? Well shooting, simply put. When shot at, this unit should (I think, thinking about how nobz work) be able to suck up a decent amount of wounds in terms of wound allocation & are pretty surviveable with T4/5 models with 3+/5++ saves. No FNP though. Nurgle beasts are two slow & dont have enough upgrades.

In CC -Decent I, (better with the heralds) good str/T, a good amount of wounds. Very fighty. Infantry slow but deepstrikeable with backup.


Have I missed anything, a crucial rule? Opinions?

It could work if you dont run into:

Lashing Chaos marines,
Vindicator-cannons, orbital bombardment, Tau Railguns(or other S10),
to much Sternguard with hellfire shots,
Librarian with Null zone and sum Stormshield terminators,
etc.

Daemons of different chaos gods can't join each others' units. Why does nobody realize this? :(

Okay, as it stands, thier all sworn to khorne so they are all of the same god.

You would have a lot of points tied up in a foot slogging combined unit. It would be contingent on the rest of your list.

But how good would that big bunch actually be, if they decided to charge somthing? Over-kill?
