hey there guys, well its been awhile since ive done any painting and converting...(probably at least 4 - 5 years)
so please bear with me on this.... i just started playing warhammer40k again and recently picked up the new ork codex, 2 squads of boyz and a big mek........i decided to go with a death skulls army this time around ( meaning that last time i played i was playing a goff army that eventually ended up as a speed freak army....go figure)
so keeping i short ill start with the boyz and the big mek..... im hoping to get these guys into some games before deciding how to go about building my army, but since its death skulls ill probably do a shooty type of army

the Battalion so far

please comments are welcome and thanks for having a look!

While your areas of paint are clean, there needs to be a lot more inking/shadows/highlights. All the metal is the same color with no rusting/discoloring, etc. Pieces that are on top of each other needs to stand out, otherwise they turn into mud and nothing stands out.

The more variations you have in highlights and darks, the more your figures will stand out.

The washes really helped and add some highlights, especially on the metal.
For the conversions, whilst their interesting and different they aren't really anything complex. Not saying that they are bad or anything just needs some more practice.

btw, 'Ard Boyz look better with Gobz on their mouths - makes 'em stand out.

Yea not bad. I think the blues should have some highlighting of a sort though.

First: Cool

Second: If the red on the axe is suppose to be blood, you will stop painting and you will go read this:
