anyone know a really good way to keep sand and rocks permanetly glued to the bases besides laying down a huge
amount of glue on the base?......i tried keeping it on with just paint but that doesnt work very well
thanks!

I usually grab a brush and paint on some PVA glue (the good old white smelly stuff that you probably used in elementary school)

Doesn't hurt the bristles on the brush, and gets enough glue on the base for the sand to stay on.

After applying the glue, proceed to dip said base in the container of the sand. When you pull it out, ta da!

The PVA glue dries clear so paint some of it over the already glues on sand and rocks and that should make them stay alot better!!

I use PVA to hold the stuff on, then when it is dry, several coats of a water/pva mix with a small drop of dishliquid added (lowers surface tension and gives better coverage) over the top to hold it all down.

It does dry somewhat shiny, but since my bases are generally painted after this stage, it's a minor issue. I used this method on my plastic war-walkers (stops them being casually flung off the table by careless hands).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
