Hey All,

Been looking around to see how the new space marine book effects the other space marine chapter books like dark angels. Do the tac squads from the dark angel book get the benafit of the free flamer and Missle Launcher or not? And other questions along those lines. If anyone knows where I can find any information on how the new bo effects the chapter codex I'd be greatful for the link thanks

Hello Mr. Mortalis, wlcome to dakka.

At the moment the latest Space marine codex has, sadly, no affect on the Dark Angel, Blood Angel or Black Templar codices. The Space Wolf one does use some of the new vehicle costs/similar, but that book is currently out of print as it is scheduled for later this year-- tail end ( ..sorry) of Q3 start of Q4 I think.

So Dark Angels etc have to make do with the costs and equipment rules in their own books rather than any of the ones in the new codex.

And yes, a lot of people think this is daft but there you go.

In friendly games I'm sure most people wouldn't have a probem with you using, for example, a Dark Angel thunderife cannon or Redemmer Land Raider-- and of course in Apocalypse pretty much anything goes.

I hope that's of some use, even if it is not perhaps what you'd like to hear.

Again I'm sure that most people wouldn't have a problem with you using your Dark Angel/whatever models and the standard marine codex in a game, but ithout knowing where you play and/oryour groupit is of course hard to say.

THis is clarified in the Dark Angel FAQ

alright ?
