And Here it is! I've been working on this for a while, unfortunately the first decent photos of the abomination though. Basic bits:
Base: Copied a Rhino chassis in cardboard, added 4 Defiler legs and an old scenery barrel with pistons from bits of sprue. Note this was originally going to stop there - a Vindicator on legs great idea but nottin I hadn't seen before on forums like this.

Then while I was rooting in my bitz box for stuff to add to the legged Vindie when I saw the bits of my old Dread that was going to be properly Nurgled at one stage, project was shelved when Dreads became too dangerous to their own troops! Also saw an old wrecking ball arm from a Ork trukk and the ideas started bouncingf in my head.

The base looked kinda crab-like - made connection to the Fiddler crab with the beeg claw they use for fighting and mostly showing off in mating season. Thus the idea of Deathklaw was born! Of course I also have been playing around with a partial Skaven theme for my forces. So it has to have a gaint rat's head (suitably mutated of course)!

Still had only a vague idea of how to attach the claw arm, never minf make the claw. The Dread's arms supplied were way to ordinary and small for this, something else had to be created for Deathy's claw. My dad and I happened to be walking in a hardware store one day, I happened to walk past a shelf with picture hanging gear. Saw the wire, hooks etc and bingo! Material for both claw and the joint for a massive wrecking-ball tail! Other bits include some pipe clamps and a big irrigation pipe joiner. Needless to say also a lot of putty too! It nowhere near finished but the basics are there, albeit with stickistuff in the case of the havoc launcher. Its mostly putty worek from here, though there will be some pipes suggesting horns on the big rats head, more wire in some places etc. The power plant for the Dread could be added at some point, though I may just putty over that section and add pipes & wires - will see how the imagination takes me

Deathhklaw from above front - aint that klaw beeg

From the front up close to see the cannon and the start of the big rats face - I'm thinking a large single insectoid eye? or maybe not I'll see.

Front view of the whole monstosity

Left side view - aint that tail beeg! Counts as second DCCW.

Right side view - again, size of claw people!

Comments, constructive etc please, would be nice. I'll be using it in a game tommorrow as is, but after that work will continue!

Will keep y'all posted

Yeah these were quick snapshots - will post better ones soon with proper lighting and neutral background. By the way, first game saw Deathy miss with Battlecannon but wipe out half a squad of Tau Fire Warriors with twin-linked HB and Havoc Launcher. Then he got destroyed by Broadside suit Railcannon shot next turn boo his. Oh well ... better luck next time. At least the rest of the list avenged it. After 4 turns my opponent needed to leave to get to a dinner engagement with the in-laws, but by then he had one squad of Fire Warriors and an his Commander left out of 1500 pts - mission was Annihilation, setup in table quarters. only units that didnt do direct damage on my side were the Spawn (spent its time running around getting shot at so served at least half of its purpouse) and the Lesser Daemons which got vaped the turn they arrived but again did half their mission by drawing fire away from my other units.

Memorable moment 1 - Noise Marines in Rhino drives up to 7" from infiltrated Tau Stealth squad. Roll for distance of sight due to Stelath suit ability - fish eyes! ! ! First big laugh of game.

Memorable moment 2: Nurgle Sorceror then uses Gift of Chaos on same Stealth squad - look on opponents face priceless as realised has to check against their Toughness or be Spawned. Spawny spends most of rest of game killing rest of Stealth squad. One neutralised infiltrating squad. The other infiltrators, a squad of Kroot, get out cc'ed by my Tzeentch Sorceror on Disc and cut down as they tried to run away. Tried to do follow up into next squad of Fire Warriors & got rapid fired to death though.

MVP squad goes Skull Champion & his Khorne Bezerkers - took out the Broadsides (x3 with shield drone), a squad of fire warriors and a squad of Tau Snipers (which had shot like orks all game - not one hit). That after their Rhino transport had been nuked second turn and they had to run like hell across the battlefield in the face of heavy enemy fire. All I can say is I love the new Run rule & Furious Charge combo!

Well I did promise Pics should be better this time. I've done a bit of work on Deathy too. Basically I've wrapped some putty around the claw hand at the base to give it stability, and at the same time serve as a base to start modelling an integral Heavy Flamer. I've removed the Havoc ML and added the power plant from the Dread as a pair of big smoke stacks (did anybody say smoke launchers - heh heh) Still needs a lot of putty and wire work but should be ready for painting in the not-too distant future.

Comments welcome, now that you might be able to see the monstrosity better

Bear with me, trying to improve the images something to do with the gallery settings I think. If all else fails all of the pics are in my gallery space
