This weekend I'm attending a freindly tourny at one of the LGSs. It's going to be a traditional GW type scored event with points for comp, sportsmanship, painting, etc. I'm either going to run some sort of "counts as" army using the Squats or Space Slann in an attempt to win "best army" or I'm going to run one of my Chaos Renegade Legion armies. Here are my ideas:

Which of these is the stronger list in your opinion? See any issues that might cause a reasonable player to hit me in the comp department? Thoughts? Or should I just play my Squats?

having slaanesh terminators with powerfists seems to defeat the purpose of having the icon, since they'll strike last. I suggest giving them lightning claws and giving one a chainfist... (first list)

Summoned lesser daemons? just because you have the points?! for that much, you could add 2 more terminators or get several more plague marines. and weapons. strongly suggest meltas over plasmas. make all combi weapons combi flamers, and all flamers meltas. but that's just me. (second list)

I agree with the comments above. Lesser Daemons need to be in a unit that has slightly larger numbers (unless of course you get lucky with them).

The Greater Daemon is worth it... sometimes. He essentially costs 100 + the cost of whichever champion he breaks out of (which in your lists is about 50 points). This CAN be good if your champions are in a good position. The problem is if they aren't, then you have a giant target + waste of points just sitting there, as it has neither fleet or wings. It can be very devastating or very useless... depends on the dice of course!

Bikers are a great unit, if on the slightly expensive side... haha. Chaos bikers are especially good because they have 2 attacks (since they are apparently so skilled they can wield a pistol and close combat weapon and control their bike at the same time!).

That's a valid point. I tend to buy them a mark like that in a legion themed army almost by reflex. Here it's a waste of points.

One of my primary opponents is a Nid player. I've found a rhino with a couple of double tapping plasmas can make a decent ersatz carnafex killer.
