Ive recently began a Space Wolves army and have tried many diffrent ways of painting yellow and just can not find anyway of doing it witout having to apply an assload of coats and then it still doesnt look all that great. Im hoping that someone here knows of some good techniques for painting yellow because id like to use more yellow on my SW then just there shoulder pads.

Vomit Brown as a base coat, then Yellow of your choice. The foundation paints are also a great way to get nice early coverage.

The foundation yellow makes painting yellow easier, if you want a darker yellow. If you want a bright yellow, I tend to base coat with the dheneb stone and paint badmoon over that

If you want a mustardy yellow this tends to work out quite well (I've used it for my Ostermark Empire army):
- Undercoat of Vermin brown
- 50% Vermin brown to bubonic brown mix
- Bubonic brown

i use foundation Tau Ochre, for a good basecoat.
then i use golden yellow watered down with a little bit of foundation mixed, works great.

For bright yellow paint first with tenticle pink and then go over it with the yellow of your choice.
