I have heard around that there is a company around here on the net that sells white metal bits and parts like cabling and such that I would love to get my hands on. It would be a hell of a lot easier to do conversions and such with, instead of guitar wire.

If anyone can point me in the direction, I would be much appreciative!

I don't know about guitar wire, but the fine springs I use have enough room down the middle to insert some wire for stiffness. Have you tried this yet?
