I SM army currently contains one Rhino and one Predator with lascannons. I’ve noticed that in some of the battle reports players sometimes may field several Rhinos.
What uses are there for two or three rhinos in a battle? I want to get a land raider next but should I also get another Predator or a couple more rhinos?
Any advice?

I regularly field a lot more than that!
Bottom line is they get your troops where they need to go quickly and in reasonable safety.

Why not take them? If not fully upgraded aren't they cheaper (on average) than other armies transports? With the new rules set they seem to be better than ever.

Cover for your larger tanks (landraider), as well as what everyone else has said. Also, don't underestimate razorbacks. Once the weapon gets popped, you still have a rhino that can block charges, obscure other vehicles, tankshock, etc.

As said their very handy for transporting over 6 man squads in size up the table to capture objectives or to deliver squads to where you want them. Also make great terrain blocks around places once the marines are out to stop shooting or to slow down the enemy. and their really cheap way of adding mobility compared to other races options.

This is even better in my opinion, i don't mind the lack fo a 10 man squad as i take 5 man squads and a razorback either with its standard hvy bolter for help on anti infantry or get the twin linked lascannon for popping tanks from a distance, but still with the ability to ferry my squads around as needed. in a 1750 point army i have 5 of them, 3 las and 2 hvy bolters. covers a nice portion of anti tank and anti infantry, adding in possible mobile terrain if i need it and also 5 transports for squads if i want to pick up my other troops. 45 points with heavy bolter is a great steal in my opinion.
Both options are good though, and rhinos either with a 2nd stormbolter and / or hunter killer or just base are handy to have.

Lots of people will ignore Rhinos until it's contesting an objective they were trying to hold and it's too late to do anything about it. They hide in plain sight. A shot fired at a Rhino is a shot that's not fired at a Predator or a Land Raider.

Rhinos are amazing. They are quick, decently armored, can fire smoke for a cover save, can tank shock, provide suppressing fire, launch missles into crowded spots....... Not to mention transport units clear across the field fairly fast. Any time I field a troop choice, I give them a dedicated rhino.

I'll try and be helpful.
You have to give me a REALLY good reason not to take a rhino for every squad that can take one in 5th edition.
If you have meltaguns and combi-meltas, its the best way to get them where you need them, and fire them without exposing the unit to return fire.
It protects you from weaken resolve and lash and shooting, it provides mobile cover, it lets you redeploy or quickly close the distance for your short range weapons. Its points cost is a non issue.
Its only drawback is that it coughs up a KP. A fair trade for the value.
Razorbacks are ok, if you aren't taking meltas... but then we'd need to go back to the part where you aren't taking meltas and fix that
