HQ
Big Mek (Kustom Force Field) 85pts

Troops
20 Slugga Boyz (Nob, powerklaw, boss pole) 160pts
20 Shoota Boyz (Nob, powerklaw, boss pole) 160pts
12 Trukk Boyz (Nob, powerklaw, boss pole, Trukk) 147pts

Elites
5 Kommandos (Boss Snikrot) 135pts
9 Lootas 135pts

Heavy Support
2 Killa Kanz (2 Rokkit Launchas) 100pts
3 Big Gunz (Kannon, +3 Gretchen, 3 Ammo runts) 78pts

I am not sure if my list is too spread out. I got the sloggin sluggas and shootas for a little variety and some Trukk boys (not sure if they are shootas or sluggas just yet) for the speed. I got fire support from the lootas for S7 hits (9 in the unit so I can take 2 wounds and not run). Ranged S8/S4pie-plate shots from my Kannons with ammo runts when I need 3 hits on a leman russ (3 more grots so I dont flee on 2 crew wounds). The Kanz are mobile BS3 S8 guns with a DCCW and immune to S4 fire, so they have good utility in lots of situations. And I got some disruption with a suicide Boss snikrot and a small group of kommandos to ambush them (hopefully not too small, 6 'twinlinked' WS5 S6 attacks with snikrot and 16 from the boyz with a free -1 modifier should win a combat I would guess).

Overall I think I got a good threat distribution with 6-7 units actively effecting the board with as much S8 anti armor I can afford while still fielding 52 boys and 3pks. One thing that bothers me is what to do with my big mek. He cannot be everywhere at once, so where do I focus him to? He helps the trukk and the kanz the most with the 4+ save but also is useful to shield my 40 other boyz if I want to run straight in and not use normal cover. I am not sure how much he will effect the game (though I have not tested him yet), and for the same 85pts I can get a Warboss with a pk, or a warphead-weird boy to attach to my shootas for random Waaagh!'s, Auto-hit MEQ killing S6pie-plates, Auto-hit S10 tank destroyers, or deepstrike-into-38shots-combo on the same turn (and also a chance to kill like 6 of my own boyz like my last game ). I have been considering changing the HQ to a weirdboy because of these fun and powerful results that are hard for my opponent to be prepared for.

I have been working on my list for a while now and C&C are more than welcomed, they are requested. I would like this to be competitive but also fun at the same time (I dream big).

Unless you plan on using the shoota by squad in combat you can probably drop the pk for 4 more boyz

weird boyz you hav to get the upgrade so they dont blow themselvs up every game. you can get lucky like me (blew up monolith in a 1000pt game first turn) or unlucky like me (spent whole game trying to use ranged attacks failing every time) Weird boyz are great wild cards and enemies dont know what to expect, but there is no gurantee theyll do anything

5 kommandos and snik are very fragile.
also, due to a small unit size they wont fare too well im combat against full units.
i would either bolster the unit size, cut them out of the list or try and throw in 2 burnas to help thin out any large threat units.

kanz with rokkitz arent too bad, however, i would take either grotzookas for massed infantry killing or upgrade them to kustom mega blastas for the extra AP for termies hunting.

kannons: i cant complain
i used to laugh at people who used these, now i tend to take either them or zzaps with full upgrades.
people tend to ignore them until they start killing things.
usually earn back thier points pretty quickly.

Edit:

Note on weirdboy: if you do take one then take the warphead upgrade.
they have a tendancy to blow up alot if you dont.

Old zogwort: If you know the enemy is taking a evil independant character then take zog
his ability to turn any independant character into a squig is priceless. (no saves, no nothing)
all you need to do is roll a single die each, if you win, the IC is a squig (goodbye ghaz, calgar and the likes)

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

As Deff stated Weirdboyz are fun and exciting wild cards to play. If you give it the Warphead upgrade give you another shot at getting the spell you want(hopefully not EadBanger) or can purely use the roll to stop Eadbanger from occuring hopefully.

But if do plan on keeping the Mek I would use his KFF for the Killa Kanz for find them really easy kills for the enemy since their armor rating so weak.

I also agree with removing the power klaw from shoota boyz unless course do plan on getting them into melee combat.

As for Snikrot he a great model but his major problem is which only matters on good armor saving units, he has no power weapon to cut through armor. Thus making his chances to wound seem less then to one Kommando Nob with a PK, so might consider removing him for Nob Kommando with PK and use the spare points on other things.

I kind of disagree about taking out the Power Klaw. There are some days where you just need another punch. The last thing I ever want in an Ork list is to have an entire squad get tied up with something it can't hurt in close combat, a SM Dreadnought comes to mind. Granted, you have other things that can kill them, but it's still not a chance I want to take.

Additionally, I think you're right, you are a little too spread out in your elites. Either fill up that squad of Lootas by dropping the Kommandos, or vice versa. And if you go with the Kommandos, then lacking a Power Klaw Nob in a Kommando thanks to Snikrot, a Burna or two becomes a must have for the power weapon attacks.

Shootas might not have as much kick to take out a dredd but the kannons will have enought to just knock it out. I feel a round of cannon fire is the equivalent of some extra boyz

I don't disagree that the kannons can do the job. I'm just saying that it hurts bad enough to get caught in melee with only a power klaw that can hurt the enemy, it hurts even worse when that power klaw was given up for a few extra boyz.
