Converted a plastic kit to a more realistic sized transport the last weeks.
Got slowed down, but came on to painting it now.

Used a 4 color camo-scheme as basic layer. Greatest Benefit of airbrushing tanks, save time and get your paint evenly on your model.

Will do the detailling next, but thougth i'll share a pic or two.

Ridiculously huge - gotta love it!. Did you widen the stormlord as well, or is that just an illusion?

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

I love it. Bigger is always better. I just can not understand the lack of red paint on these vehicles though. How do yall expect these things to go fast?

Oi!! Which Butt'n makes dis ting go!?!

Looks awesome... I'd add more detail to the front. The flat part where the heavy bolters are and the mine catcher/ram prow look kind of barren.

Other than that, very nicely done. Very much in keeping with the style of 40k.

It is 5 cm widened and 4 cm longer than usual.

Red paint isn't part of the munitorums color chart, therfore not supplied to imperial tank regiments.

Decided to use grey as interior coloring, isn't creative but still useful and has precedence in real-world tanks.

The tank in its parts:

-main chassis / additional firing platforms
-main gun in turret
-small turrets
-2 heavy stubbers
-2nd level platform

I imagine the insides of command vehicles for the IG being deep red and gold. Imagine a fancy cushy rich person's room, with paintings, decorations, and gaudy funiture, and that's how I feel a commisar or higher up officer would want to decorate the interior of his transport.

Not to mention that painting the interior of a warship red was a common practice in the age of sail, made the blood less obvious once the cannonballs started flying..

<Rarity> I am not whining, I am complaining! Do you want to hear whining?

Thiiis is whiiiiining! Oooo, this mini is too expeennsive! I'm' going brrookee! Can't you make it cheaper? Oh, it's resin and not metal anymore! Why didn't you take it off the sprue first? That's gonna leave a pour spout, and the FLGS is so far away, WHY DO I HAVE TO SUPPORT IIIIIIIT?! </Rairty>

Choose your reply:

1) every officer under my command refused to ride in a stormlord since they can't politely ask their valuable Guardsmen to follow any well-thougth given order if those
mentioned officers embark in this regularly maintained Tank.

2) red interieur is totally out, none with a bit of taste uses such color this day.

Gone instead for multiple hues of grey..
Metallic parts = done
Lenses + muzzles = done
Decoration = started

And when I mention I am "true scaling" my rhino to be 10% larger for "realism" I'm accused of attempting more cover!

Cute.

Geez, you hummies. No red paint? let your enemies supply the red paint. Each one carries a few pints to a few gallons of it with them at all times. NOW GET TO PAINTIN!!
