What are digital lasers?

I looked everywhere and I couldn't find any info on what a Digital Laser is. Yet it's listed as an option for the Honor Guard Champion.

Also note that this is NOT to be mistaken for DIGITAL WEAPONS. I know what those are already it's right there in the codex. The captain/chaplain and others have digital weapons as an option.

However the honor guard champion has DIGITAL LASER which i can't find any mention of, in the codex. And army builder has a note saying 'refer to the assault phase chapter of the 40k rulebook' attached to it. While there's no such thing for Digital Weapons. So it leads me to believe that they are 2 different things.

I believe this is commonly assumed to just be a mis type as in the previous codex they were called Digital Lasers afaik.

Yes it's a typo. Digital Lasers are meant to be Digital Weapons. GW Are useless so haven't issued an Errata yet, but it is covered in the INAT FAQ. Or if you want to play it as AnalRAW, They do nothing. Up to you.

I personally would play it as doing nothing until GW decide to Errata it (hey, not my fault they cannot write the damn rules) but wouldn't mind someone wanting to use them as Digital Weapons.
