I'm officially starting my LATD count as Daemonhunters, and I was wondering if anyone could point out a paint scheme for my traitors.
thanks in advance.

RED FOR THE RED GOD!-Khorne
Slaanesh tends to be pink/purple
Nurgle is either green, brown or Bleached Bone kind of color
Tzeentch is blue, or something that looks like its constantly changing, like blue
undivided, i would say metal/black/brown/gray Ect as long as its chaos.

G'day
Saw this thread the other day, and figured it was as good a time as any to upload my traitor guard (from a LatD some time ago)...
All the photos are here.
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-14062-2449_Darkkt%27s%20Traitor%20Guard.html
When planning my army (back when it was legal), I wanted to a) not spend a forturne on FW models (they are sweet tho), and b) make them look chaosy whilst still retaining an IG 'orderly' appearance...
I went with a camo uniform - black base, fortress grey outlines on Red Gore/Scab (I forget which one) 'angular shapes'. boots and belts were also red.
The armour was brass, highlight of brass/gold, then the whole model was washed in black ink. made a 'dirty appearance', and took the brightness out of the camo. I then rehighlighted the metal with a gold/silver mix.
I also tried to chaos them up with skull shoulder pads on some:
Chaos star shoulder pads on others:
Spikes on some helmets:
this is a reasonable shot of the camo and armour...
these are table top models, not golden daemon winners, but I think they get the point across!
Once youve determined your painting scheme, post some pics, I'd love to see what you do.
Cheers and best of luck.

I've seen a lot of red and black for unaffiliated chaos IG. I don't know, it seems like everything is in black and red sometimes, and that is the normal Inquisitor-guard scheme.
If you have a particular god in mind, then go with something that fits it (Yellow, Gold and Blue for Tzeentch, for example).
If you want something more general for your IG, then you might go with white, or white and red. It would make the red stand out, and any blood splattering that you would want to do would show up very well.

Mutations/kit bashes are a very effective way of creating fierce Traitor guard - maybe mix and match some catachans with chaos mauraders. they both seem to suffer from 'big arm' syndrome, so they wont seem out of place!

Thinking of Joining a Davinite Loge

As a fellow Traitor Guard player I have found that going red is rather cliched. Mine were red when I started two years ago and now I'm slowly changing them. My advice is to check a number of sources for pictures of things you think look evil and try and take some inspiration.
Also, I advise looking up Dave Taylor's blog for some kickass Traitor Guard ideas: Dave Taylor Blog

Spawn of Chaos

Traitor Guard look good in any dark industrial look really. Tattoos look good as well on bareskinned models.
I opted for a clean one for mine with black and metal as primary colors.
I came out with this, think it looks chaos enough:

nice. Perhaps a mainly black scheme with a dark teal or light blue armor? Teal is awesome.
