I've uploaded some images arund 10 minutes ago and they havn't been processed yet. Also, images in the gallery appear as broken links. sorry to be the harbinger of bad news.

Thanks for reporting, the upload issue is a glitch that I'll sort out now.

The broken images is just where DNS needs to update - they will appear again within 2 hours max.

Phew, this is finally fixed. Again thanks very much for reporting this before the lunchtime so that people can continue to enjoy dakka then.

You'll need to reupload the images you had uploaded I'm afraid, but it should be fine now. That was one heck of an evil bug - part of the server upgrade included an OS upgrade, and during the upgrade they changed the way the server logs stuff, so first off I had to figure out where some of the logging went, and then that revealed that there is a strange bug in the image handling of this OS's implementation of java. Thankfully there was a workaround so it should be fixed now!

The images will potentially still appear to be broken for another 2 hours or so. If they are still broken for you later than that then please let me know.

wow. that really sucks. Annoying when the OS does crazy stuff, eh? What OS is the server running now, if i may ask?

Bad news again. The Gallery still isn't uploading for me.I give it the pictures and they seem to dissapear.

You might have been uploading in the moment the server choked (in which case you are the unluckiest person on dakka today). Could you try one more time please? Sorry about that!

As for the OS, it is running a lean version of debian, but it is running lenny instead of etch now which was a surprisingly big change in terms of config.

Sorry for the late response. It's working fine now. I know your troubles. I use ubunto on my different computers and that's pretty much debian iirc. it's nice when you get it working... IF you get it working.
