It's not really as bad as the media makes it out to be. The normal flu will probably still kill more people this year. It's all fearmongering, like in the Cold War, only this time there are no communists involved.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

The patient, who had underlying health problems

I'll look into my crystal ball and see that they either had chronic and worsening kidney or lung failure, or poorly controlled diabetes.... because they are the ones who die of the flu first.

The most common place to have a stroke is on the toilet. But they don't remove toilets because of the danger they pose.

Why the toilet? Is it something to do with muscle strains?

@ Waagh Gonads,
The "underlying health problems were, I'm told, the fact that she just had a severely premature baby, which must have been born early for a reason, so yeah she was probably seriously ill and the 'Flu pushed her over the edge.
It's very sad, but don't expect people to start dropping like flies. The only Swine flu induced worries I've experienced are "what happens if school closes and we can't do exams"
Having said that, the danger is not massive death, but everyone will have time off work if they get it, so the country will grind to a halt like it did earlier in the year due to heavy snowfall.
