I finally am getting around to painting some stuff so here's my nids hive fleet Akarui which is TMK the Japanese word meaning bright comments and suggestions welcome.

Hive Fleet Bright? I dunno about that. I liked it better before I knew what akuri meant.

As for the models, they look REALLY stripey and clean. Great job on straight lines, though. You killed those lines between green and blue. They are just too clean, though. You should hit them with some dark green and dark blue washes to make them look less 2D.

Look a little bit just as clowns but that does almost evry Tyranid in the galaxy....

Throw some washes and some highlights on those beasts!! Very unique scheme, and if made to look more. . . natural and chitinous, could end up being very nice.

Wow, that's...intense. Perhaps you could try dipping them to mute it down a little and introduce some shading. the colours are otherwise ok and quite freaky.

That was the idea, my only other army when i came up with the scheme was black templars which are well quite black so i wanted something colorful enough to induce vomiting.

Ive been tossing around the idea of gloss varnishing or adding some kind of weathering to them to spice them up a little just haven't came up with anything that would work well with the paint scheme.

Theirs no shortage of models to test on luckily i grabbed all this before the prices started getting really ridiculous.
