I'm playing a 2v2 tourney with my brother who uses tau and I have a list that needs to be critiqued
Please comment on what you think of he list. We each get 500pts and it is white dwarf rules
My 500pts are
Daemon Prince
Wings
Mos
Lash 155pts
CSM x6 w/Meltagun
Rhino 135 pts
CSM x6 w/Meltagun
Rhino 135 pts
Obliterator 75pts
My brother's are
Shas'el- 97pts
Plasma Rifle
Missle Pod
Targeting Array
Hardwired Multitracker
Fire Warriors x11- 125pts

That's somewhat why my list incorporated rhinos for more mobility and for protection for my CSM. All the options that I looked at with plague marines I didn't think would work well. So if you have any ideas of a list please comment on it

Have you tried using plague marines? The tend to outperform regualr CSM in almost all areas, despite their increased cost. They are very hard to kill with T5, FNP and defensive grenades. What really makes them worth it is their fearless ness. It is too easy to get unlucky with a morale test and see your CSM run off the board, particualrly in combat when you get negative modifiers. Plague marines dont have to worry about this.

I have looked into a list but because right now I only have 8 plague marines it is going to have to be mixed.
Daemon Prince
Wings
MoS
Lash 155pts

All you need is one squad of 8.
Here is my suggested list:
HQ
Lash Prince
Troops
Plague Marines x8 w/ meltagun
Heavy Support
Vindicator w/ Daemonic Possession
The rhino is no entirely necessary at 1000pts. Just have your tau partner take out anti-MEQ stuff and you should be able to march across the field at will!

Thanks for the suggestions andI will probably add wings on the prince with the left over points but won't move him to far a head and i'll add a flamer in the plague squad too

I would actually change the Daemon Prince to a Sorcerer with wings if thats what you want to do. The reason for this is that it can stay with the plague marines (and not be singled out) or if you need to make a longer move at the end of a game to be able to move a unit of an objective then you can. You can even add a rhino if you drop one plague marine.
New list:
HQ
Sorcerer w/ MOS, LOS, Wings
Troops
Plague Marines x7 w/ meltagun, Rhino
Heavy Support
Vindicator w/ Daemonic Possession

A problem with that list is I don't have a sorcerer
But I will probably use the list you posted earlier with some changes

Winged Lash Prince
Troops
Plague Marines x8 w/ meltagun

Defiler w/R. autocan + CCW
Defiler over the vindicator for more mobility and charging with Plague Marines
