A live grenade.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Voted council cause it would eat the LR army for lunchies and is pretty good against most other high tier armies.

I voted nobz on bikes. Man that is just nasty. Not to mention having enough for 2500pts would just be a killer. Nothing could withstand that

The above DH list isn't legal, however, this one is:

HQ
Brother Captain = 61pts

Inquisitor Lord w/ psychic hood & bolter + 2x Mystics + 1x Acolyte + Land Raider = 336pts

Elite
Inquisitor w/ bolter + 2x Mystics + Land Raider = 283pts

Inquisitor w/ bolter + 2x Mystics + Land Raider = 283pts

Inquisitor w/ bolter + 2x Mystics + Land Raider = 283pts

Troops
Justicar + 4x PAGK w/ 1x Incinerator = 160pts

Justicar + 4x PAGK w/ 1x Incinerator = 160pts

Justicar + 4x PAGK w/ 1x Incinerator = 160pts

Heavy
GK Land Raider Crusader w/ smoke = 258pts

GK Land Raider Crusader w/ smoke = 258pts

2500pts even, 36 models, 19 kill points.

yeah, you nee the GK hero to take the heavy raiders. Either way it is one of the nastiest 2500 point lists you build. Still quite a few models. It can have issues vs hordes at this point level. They might not kill it, but would have problems claiming objectives if you can't clear some space. (tank shock helps here.)

I voted for the jet bike council. Its very nasty, and at this point level you still have an army around them. Eldar are the king of winning objective battles. Hard boy missions last year had a heavy draw towards objectives IIRC.

About to eat your Avatar...

The ONLY reason I chose the council is because of fortune, that is it. Their destructive power is just nowhere near as effective as other tactics, yet it can multi-assault and generally scatter the unprepared.

FOCUS FIRE them, simple as that, if they get in range and tar-pit your whole army, you rolled badly. If they arrive from reserves it takes two turns to get across the board either way, assault or no.

Just shoot them over and over and over, that is your option. No pansy I need to be tactical...SHOOT THE SCARY THING DOWN NOW!!! If 2500 points of shooty can't drop 400 points of omfg we are "soooo" scary, yeah... uber-fail on the dice rolls. Double 4+'s are really easy to break and w/o a second wound to back them up, Warlocks are just Nob bikers that COST MORE, lack the second wound and are only slightly more effective against swarms.

The fact is bikes are specifically designed to take down fast stuff, and in even a 2500 point game taking down the relatively un-threatening bikers (of any race, just be prepared) brings an army to 80% of it's original value. Attack bikes can take a MM I believe and it really makes no difference besides when you shoot at the RIGHT tanks, so in short run at me and you will be stepped on by a billion wounds that were "negligible" in your calculations.

The jump-shoot-jump feature is best used with warp spiders (though they are not tourney material) but warlocks can open pretty much any single transport when spamming shining spears. Witchblades are better overall, but their are very few things that force you to overwhelm their attack with yours + fortune, so the loss on of one hit in cc each does not = the loss of 5 transport kills with BLOS used and fortune spread elsewhere.

"Note"
Me, I, and You are used in a figurative sense, debating with me w/o access to a way to actually speak (ventrilo, skype, TS, etc...) will waste OTHER peoples time, and I will use P.M. over the thread we are in to debate this.

Planetstrike lets you have NINE. so there.

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the Jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building. Copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A doublewing I think would probably be the most effective for the fewest models. Mech Vets will eat it alive, but such is the risks. Scoring speeders are always nice for T6/2 objective grabs.

How about Chaos daemons?

Bloodthirster totally kitted (295)
Bloodthirster totally kitted (295)

Khornate Daemon Prince totally kitted (220)
Khornate Daemon Prince totally kitted (220)
khornate Daemon Prince totally kitted (220)

That's 1250 points in just five models that can all fly. Next throw in some complex Blood Crusher units and Bloodletters...

8x Blood Crusher totally kitted (310)
8x Blood Crusher totally kitted (310)
8x Blood Crusher totally kitted (310)

That brings the count up to 2180 points and leaves enough for around 15 Bloodletters...

5 + 24 + 15 = 44

You could also make an army with Fateweaver, the GuO special character and three Tzneetchian daemon princes; the princes actually cost more apiece than the Fateweaver and have a load of spells. All those 4+ INV saves plus the reroll would be nasty.
