The sink.

I've been sitting on some fantasy armies I'd like to sell for awhile now. What is a good way to sell minis that preferably doesn't involve Ebay?

Craigslist is alright, but if there's a gaming convention where you can set up a flea market that works really well too. Historicon and Cold Wars both have famed flea markets where I've picked up tons of old minis. Alternately, there is the Dakka Swap Shop, right here in the forums. I've seen a lot of deals go back and forth there.

Bartertown.

Just be prepared, if you're new to it, to ship first (regardless of trading or selling). I would deal only with traders with high ratings (above 50), and who don't show up in the bad trader forums.

I've been using it for years, and its worked for me.

I also would advise against trading with the mods, it will only end in heartbreak.

Hive Fleet Vestis 5000pts
Disciples of Caliban 2000pts
Crimson Fist 2000pts
World Eaters 1850pts

Rogue Market! (www.rogue-market.com)

There seem to be a lot of old mini's alficionatos there. I offloaded a TON of rogue trader era stuff on RM which didn't so much as get a nibble on Bartertown.

I also did manage to move a sizable ork RT army here so Dakkadakka work as well.

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

WHFB:
2400 Empire
3000 Tomb Kings

BarterTown first!, hands down and Rogue Market second.

I dont trust any of the other sites for big sales or purchases.

Btown offers a seller/buyer rating system and you can see feedback on possible trade parterns.

If your worried about getting ripped off, Ebay. It's where I do all my gaming related shopping when the stuff isn't available (bits and what not). They'll keep things on the up and up. I've never used Barter Town or any of those places, but I've heard that the trades/sales don't always go smoothly.
