Hi all. I would like to run a mono Khorne daemonic horde list for the first round. Here it goes...

-HQ-
Bloodthirster/Unholy Might, Blessing of the Blood God, Death Trike
Bloodthirster/Same As Above

-HS-
Soul Grinder/Phleghm & Tongue
Soul Grinder/Same As Above
Daemon Prince/Daemonic Flight, Iron Hide, Unholy Might, Blessing of the Blood God, Death Strike

-Elites-
4x Blood Crusher (fully complex)
4x Blood Crusher (fully complex)
4x Blood Crusher (fully complex)

-Troops-
10x Bloodletter
10x Bloodletter
10x Bloodletter
10x Bloodletter
10x Bloodletter

I have still have a few points leftover which I'll use to kit some of the Bloodletter packs with icons.

Here is my preferred 1st wave:
Bloodthirster, Bloodthirster, Daemon Prince, Soul Grinder, Soul Grinder, Blood Crushers, Blood Crushers

Here is my second wave:
Bloodletters x5, Blood Crushers

So optimally all my heavy bitters except for one unit of Crushers come in the first turn. Greater Daemons and the daemon prince come in behind the enemy line if possible and strafe rear armor with the Death Strike. Grinders drop down side by side and shoot enemy armor with their short ranged rail guns or drop pie plates onenemy troopers. Crushers come in and straddle out filling up the midtable area to cut down on movement for enemy vehihles. Second turn everything multi charges if and where possible. Greater Daemons and daemon prince run down fast vehicles and assault if necessary. Bloodletters all come in the subsequent turns to hold or contest objectives.

Thoughts are welcome!

Why no skull taker? I thought he was an instant-grab for Khorne armies?

I honestly always liked the one sided wave tactic as it puts so much onto the board maybe consider taking a small squad of Bloodletters to select as your small half?

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

I went with three flying MCs to run down fast skimmers and such. The Skulltaker is a lot of fun to play but this is the Ard Boyz.

Banelord Titan Princeps of Khorne

I would make the bloodcrusher units bigger at the expense of a bloodletter squad.

Your Bloodcrushers are great at four, nice for wound allocation. I'll be using the same tactic.
I didn't think we could run two of the same greater daemons tho...

Good Luck

I didnt realise crushers had three different upgrades to choose from.

Do you have any worry about getting charged (by various capable units) on your first-turn aggressive drop?

Very dangerous, but the first round is local and you know your meta game.

I am running a vulkan list and would not fear this at all. By the time your bloodletters hit, they would be all that was left on the table.

Nice list as long as you don't het hit with 10 twin linked heavy flamers and 13-17 twin linked multimeltas on turn 1.

Is that enough to deal with Meq lists and/or armor 14 all around heavy lists?

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

HA! With invulnerable saves, cover saves and complex unit wound allocations I really doubt it. I have seen people shoot their entire army at one unit of crushers and not even remove one from the table. The first wave can suck up a lot of damage then dish it right back at you.

^ this is very true. Crushers can take some ridiculous punishment.

I think the list looks good.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster and if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you

Yes I agree and this is without the Fate Weaver. I should run him since this is the Ard Boyz but he is just not my style.

i think this list is too one sided and if it goes bad for you on the drop thats it. How did you end up doing? i havent seen you make battle reports yet.
