I am probably going to get into WHFB, so are the Lizardmen a good starter choice?

Lizards are a good choice. They are very dependable, and quite brutal.

i agree. lizardmen were my first army and i learned the ropes with them. they can be hitty, sneaky with magic and very flexible. cold blood is a great asset to have, as well as good CC characters, execellent core troops and alot of large beasties.

Yes lizardmen are a great army to start with. The stegadon model keeps trying to lure me into playing them. In my experience I have found them A lot like space marines in regards to their good save in cc high toughness and good leadership (plus cold blood rule).
