So my friends daemon prince lost its sword, so i decided to try and craft him a new one. Wondering if this looks pretty good or not. Its obviously not painted yet, but just use your imagination.







Also, it is my friends model, he was just to lazy to make a new sword for him. So no need to comment on the crappy paint job. >.<

I think it's quite good, but it would be better if you filed away the painfully obvious Tyranid carapace and spikes, so you'd end up with a huge scimitar.

Actually the paint job could just use a coat of the black or brown wash , than maybe hit off the skin wit the red wash and it would look a lot better .

As for the sword I kinda dig it something about it that just says go with it .

You should beef up the handle more, it looks fragile, nice idea though

Make the handle longer and turn it into a sword-spear type thing, and yeah, cut some of the obvious tyranid parts off.

I really like the look of the blade, but I think the grip could do with having a bit more added to it.

im surprised nobody has noticed that the price would be trying to cut with the blunt side...

Why not cut off his arm at the elbow and graft the whole thing onto the stump?

Yea it looks good but turn it around and maybe cut off the small tyranidy spikes and it would look alot better.

Give it a daemonic eye and it would look vaguely reminisent of Soul Edge from the Soul Calibur games.

And turn it around, as the pointy end goes INTO the enemy.

I think if you sharpen the blade part, itll look better. Because right now it looks like a nid scything arm. BUT I do see where your going with it, and I agree its going to look really cool. What a pal you are

Yeah, very cool idea, i think that you need to turn it around so that the blade is facing outward, and file down the carapace parts, maybe sharpen it up a bit

I love the way it looks now. I dont think you shook cut off any of the Tyranid Carapace parts. It looks like the daemon prince got really anoyed by some Tyranid so he jumped on the Hive Tyrant and riped off his arm and shoved a stick in it and started beating all the tyranid with their bosses arm.

I like it. It's gonna look cool when it's done. I also echo the sentiments about beefening up the haft.

I would file away the tyranid carapace and make it "sharper" but i would try and keep the smal spikes, it would look a bit like a scimitar. And beef upp the haft
