I played against a dwarf player the other day and ran into a bit of a question.  The dwarf player deployed on a hill that was on the far right corner of the board.  He deployed his war machines on the top of the hill, his thunderers on the slope of the hill and his stubborn and unbreakable units surrounding the hill, (god, I hate being suprised by an oath stone!)  My question is this, if my pegasus knights can draw line of sight to the war machines (on top of the hill)  Can they fly over the enemy units and combats to charge them?  Just looking for a page number. Thanks

Yes, you can certainly charge them. But you need room to set down, and often with that sort of "castle" deployment, he's specifically done that to deny you a spot to set down.

No idea what page number.

Pegs can definitely charge over anything they can see over. So they can charge large targets, or they can charge units on hills (cos they can see them). It's in the flying units section.

Downside is I think there's a 1" rule so there needs to be 1" + pegasus knight's base width in between models.

When you charge the 1" rule is suspended. So if you fit, you can charge.

Good to know, thanks for the info.

The 1" rule I think is only suspended with regards to the unit you're charging, isn't it?

Pg. 55 of the rulebook(BRB?), Last paragraph before the magic section: "This rule is ignored during charge moves - a charging unit may approach within 1" of any enemy. This is done for purposes of game mechanics."

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
