Under the couch

Back in 2004 when 4th edition Warhammer 40000 was released, I took one look at the crashed Aquila shuttle that was included in the box as battlefield scenery and thought: Hey, you know what would be fun? Putting that back together...

So I did.

Well, having just found the original WIP pictures hiding in the deep recesses of my web server, you can now see how it was done in the UTC Workshop.

I think it would be realy neat to build a 'working' aquila shuttle, as in one that hasn't crashed. THAT would be a super awesome terrain piece, esecially with a landing pad. Not that i don't think this is awesome; it is.

I never got around to doing anything with mine. Looking at Insaniak's pic makes me think I might try 'reassembling' mine similarly, then using it a literal base for a small orky fortification welded/bolted on top

It looks so much better as a terrain piece than it is usually used as. I always see the pieces all scattered along as if someone intentionally dragged all the parts aside after the crash.

Good job

Outstanding result, makes me want to order a lander so I can steal this !

Took a look around your site, great tip for undercoating yellow on the Luminara Unduli workshop, I'll have to use that.

PS. thanks for the downloads page there, those banners could come in useful when I start my homegrown chapter.
