Yay today's project ( there is actually 3 but it was getting late and cant finish the 3rd one )
The name plate is left blank because i dunno what to name them ,

Anyways, they are Hell Hounds but! using it as Chimera with Heavy Flamer + Heavy Bolter.
(no one takes these anymore when they have Vendetta ... )

It's pretty good, but I'd recommend blackening up the front a lot to show the heat damage from the inferno cannon.

Woof woof. I agree with the Cheesy one. At least make the guns look like they've gotten some burny wear and tear. I'd also suggest adding some unit iconography or something. You know, give it some personality? Like how in WWII, guys would paint funny logos or pictures of women on their planes. Or just the simple unit number and description even.

That is some sweet weathering on the armour plates. Did you use pastels? Airbrush? drybrush?

I always made my tank's look dirty and beaten, But I like the camo on them.

@Fafnir , the turret is pretty black already , by darker ( do you mean the bottom nozzles where fuel comes out from? )

I likes them just like everything else you paint O_o...

I think he meant blacken or scorch under the turret it self to make it look like the heat would weather the top of the bolter maybe and the plating around that .

I say leave it as is except add some squad markings and such . Over all looks really good I have been seeing a lot of improvement in your over all painting lately keep up the awesome work .

Oh, I have an idea! And it's a good'un!

For the barrels, instead of painting it on, have some fun. Get some cork, and get a lighter. Light the end of the cork up, and then(once you put it out!), rub the tip of it on the barrels and a bit on the front of the tank, to make it look charred a bit.

-_- the newly added dark powder reacted to the varnish rather badly ( the gloss varnish was way too watery i thnik its clogged it pretty much washed it all together )

Eye shadow? I'd hate to guess how that would react with varnish - we have enough problems with 'proper' paint reacting weirdly to varnish...

Ok , retook the pic with lights + lamps on . Photoshop's brightness increase just isnt working / showing the color correctly.
Also using image shack , Dakka*2's image is still changing the red ( i even chose original image option )

Looks awesome. Only thing I can think of is to make up a rust colored wash and get around all the rivets and kind of streak it down the tank. If it looks too rusty at that point then grab a cotten swab and dampen it with some water or acrylic cleaner (Tamiya) and, while holding the tank flat, drag it straight down to create streaks like from water damage. Since it's sealed it shouldn't be a problem, then just get a pencil or a silvering pencil and hit some of the edges randomly to increase the wear.
