Well I played though RE4 and RE5 and picked up the first RE for the Wii. I realized before the game that it was way different from the last two. I get totally shafted by the movement. Any tips? 9 times out of 10 I die because I get screwed up moving plus you can't aim worth S*** I guess I forgot how hard movement was in old games.

Yes, RE1 does indeed have crappy controlls. I hear with the Wii version it's even worse.
If you play it for the first time, here's some advice:
If you can outrun a zombie early in the game, then do so. Every Zombie you kill but don't burn with gasoline after will come back as a crimson head later and you don't want that to happen.

Just get an emulator for your computer. There are plenty out there, I use them all the time to play Ocarina of Time and Advance Wars. They let you edit the controls and can even be modded.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

I was under the impression that bad controls detract from the fun. Bionic Commando certainly tought me that.

Na, the slow pace is an important part of the old RE games. It adds to the tension.
I also don't like console games emulated on a PC, it just feels wrong.
