I was wondering in anyone knew somewhere to get Valhallan-type models that aren't too pricey other than eBay and Games workshop? I plan on making them look like Russians with AK's from The assault group. Also if anyone could direct me as to how to make a force that could stand up to Tyranids but not completely destroy them on turn 1?

Pig Iron have some Russian-alikes that might serve as Valhallans.
Long coats: Check
Fur hats that are shorter than the other guys' ones: Check.

Officers that look like commissars: check.

I use Pig Iron heads, high elf archer legs, and cadian arms/torso for my Valhallans. Look pretty sweet imo.

I heard warstore.com sells things for relatively cheap. I don't even know if they are still around though. I think I heard a rumor back when that they were shutting down.
