Akin to the small flying insects commonly seen on Terra, the Glovian stinger is a monstrous specimen that weighs approximately 50Kg and boasts an impressive 2m wingspan. The creatures reside in towering spires constructed of dried mud and debris. Often these spires dominate large areas of Glovia and makes traveling through Glovia's wastelands an endeavor not to be taken lightly. When agitated these creatures will administer a potent, venomemous sting to the hapless soul which disturbes them. These creatures hardly ever stray from the hive alone, and usually hunt in groups of five or more. Although naturally nonagressive, the Stingers will become hostile towards anything they feel is a danger to the Spire
How to model a Glovian Stinger:
You will need
X1 Dark Eldar head (helmeted)
X1 Dwarf Head (helmeted)
Putty
Thin Wire
Static Grass
Thin, clear plastic
First, join together the heads to where the tip of the Dark Eldar head is the back of the abdomen and the Dwarfe's head is the creature's head, use the Putty to join the heads and make the heads smooth, except for the blades on top of the Dark Eldar's Head. Add eyes made of putty to the Dwarf head, making sure they are large and oval. Then attach wires to the dwarf's head to create antennae, and add wire to the underside to create four legs. Then glue static grass to the back of the Stinger (dark eldar head) to create fur. To create wings, draw them onto clear plastic (found in Pre-fab building kits from Woodland scenics.) cut them out and place them on the dark eldar head, you should probably make four, after painting.
Put the static grass on the creature before priming, and smoothe the fur down after painting.
I suggest using these with Tyranids, or as a special rule for Planetstrike/ Planetary Empires.
I will do more, but this is the one for today. You should check in after Three O' clock pacific standard for the next creature, the Kalathrax Fiend.
