Finished painting my Tyrant guards, thanks for everyone in the "you make the call" posting about Guard basing, your knowledge is invaluable. The middle one is on a big carnifex base because I could not fit it on the tyrant guard base like the outer two. A few of these have the prepainted image to show what was original tyrant guard. I do not like the stock tyrant guard figures, they are not meat shieldy enough (they remind me of little bulldogs), with some extra Carnifex bits I juiced them with some bug steroids.

Weird and highly alien. A novel approach and I like them for it. Nicely painted and original.

The middle one looks a bit odd thanks to his open stance but the other 2 are excellent.
Great idea for the conversion.

when i look at these i think of big alien offensive linemen.. the outside two are busy with some marine or something and the middle one is spread a Lil more and looking to see if anything is coming from either side

I like these, the 'giant armoured crab/armadillo walking sheild' look is fluffy and logical, so much better than the GW models. I'll probably do something similar once the new Nid codex comes out, presuming Guard are still sensible units.

I like them. The "toxic" green color is really good. It makes them "pop" more out.

They remind me alot of Mirelurks from Fallout 3. Awesome work.

Great looking models, I thought they looked like Cactus the first time....something that would ambush my desert-themed guardsmen....*shudders* Anywho, I love them, can't wait to see more of the army!

Those are Awesome! They look alot like the original concept Sketches for them, which IMO were a hell of alot cooler than what we got...those look like they can take a hit from a battle cannon and live...good job...

and btw I am going to steal your idea
