Ive decided to make a draft for my first ever army, it was between Eldar or Chaos space marines. Obviously Chaos made the cut.

I want to include Kharn as hes an awesome mini, along with plague marines and bezerkers.

Ive done it for 1500 pts as that seems to be standard. Also, seeing as i havent played in years i wanted something relatively easy to play.

I just wanted to see what people thought of the land raider vs C. Space marine unit issue.

Am i underpowered? Terminators really need the transport but then again im not sure about the C. space marine unit....

...Help?

Take the termies out they will be dropped quick and you need the LR for the zerkers. One other thing MORE MELTA! Take melta on PM instead and take them with the CSM squad also.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

Ok i changed the plasma's to melta's and added a melta to the CSM's.


I've been told the terminators will be fired upon like crazy.

Why the land raider for the Bezerkers, I thought a possessed rhino would suffice?


So you would drop termies add a land raider for kharn and zerkers and then use the (bezerkers original) rhino for CSM? That would leave like 70 pts to play around with (LR is 220 not 240 pts, my bad).

Then i feel even more underpowered...

I haven't played a game though yet so i don't know too much...

Kharn is good

Your terminators need to be changed a little bit. Five chainfists is a bit redundant. You would be better off with just two or three and the extra points. The 10pts for a champion upgrade isnt worth it. You want to try and keep the terminators as low cost as possible because its expensive when you lose one, so 10pts for +1A isnt a good deal.

The CSM would be better off as plague marines. Its better to have two slightly smaller squads of plague marines because they are simply better than CSM.

Your plague marines should have meltas because you are a little low on anti-tank, but are otherwise fine.

Your berzerker rhino should not have demonic possession. It will never care about needing to shoot so its worthless. Even extra armour isnt worth it because it will only very rarely be used. Get rid of it and save the points.

Using oblits singly really racks up your kill points so i would probably run them in a squad of three. Oblits are really very good, so if you can find the points from cutting needless upgrades its worth getting another and running two squads of two.

The thing with zerkers in LR you can assault out of it on same turn it is an assault vehicle. Termies are good but not for this list. Also you can do what the other poster said and change the CSM to PM for more durability and add MELTA to them. You can never have to much anti tank.

Also agree with last poster on dumbing down the rhinos. If you do any thing to them put combi meltas on them even that is kinda meh.

Maybe think about some fast attack to contest objectives with late in the game - 2 of 3 standard missions involve objectives so worth consideration.

As much as i like the idea of raptors and bikes they are expensive and dont do the job that a meq'd list does because they can move 12 in a rhino or LR and claim obj.
