I'm a fan of GW's LoTR game... and the site I mainly used for chatting and news about the game was "Thelastalliance.com", which is now town, and switched over to a terrain guild forum.

With TLA down and probably gone for good, where do the folks here reccomend I go for my LoTR fix? The Palantir, maybe?

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but the one ring has always seemed to be a pretty good site to me. I mostly skim over the articles, at any rate, here's the link if you want to check it out.
